You really shouldn't, since Paint is all you need.
You need to create a new Tile Molester document and assemble all your sprites there,
then you can export your PNG(s) from 'Edit > Copy to...'
Getting the correct palette to an empty TM Document is a whole another job, though.
I don't have the time to explain how to do it at the moment, but hopefully someone else (hi rtb) can.. I'll hopefully get on it tomorrow or later tonight.
EDIT: Re-uploaded the vid, check it out
here.

Well, one way that I do so, is by clicking on "Edit > Copy To..." and then saving the chunks as a PNG file. You can speed this up a whole lot by clicking on "View > Block Size > Full Canvas" (uncheck it, in other words), and then clicking on the "Increase Width" button a bunch of times, so that you get something like this:
Then, the "Copy To..." will save all of the window's contents into a separate PNG file, which you can then open up in Photoshop (or any other graphics editing program). Afterwards, all you need to do is assemble the sprites. (You'll might need to save copies of the image with different palettes, like with Meta Knight's sword or something like that.)
Question: since when is there a Green Birdon?

It's the Helper to Hero switch. You can play as a helper in that mode, by the way.
That is so cool!
Also, I made a pretty hasty guide for anyone who wants to rip stuff from the game (not saying RTB's method is
wrong or anything) that's explained in
four pretty simple steps.
EDIT: in step 3, I mean 'change the palette' as in push the little left and right buttons around the color palette down there

Ah, that explains how to rip them better.
Been a while since I showed up here. :V
So here is what I have ripped so far myself. It's meant to be a sorta collection of icons, and misc HUD objects. Trouble is I can't get the HUD backgrounds through screenshots in N0$gba*. :<
Tahaxin? Nothing shows up for me, complains about a plugin.
Tile Molester? Complains it needs more memory?
DeSuMe? SLOW.
Er anyway, the rips.

Missing:
- "Helper" in NOVA stage text and icon (??).
- Paint and Crash text. (sorta easy to get).
- Most pause screen icons (easily obtainable).
- Numbers, low helper HP top screen bar, and damage HP pallete (just gotta get around to it, much like the above).
Will probably shift about and lower empty space once get the few other things.
I was going to post it with the above done but as you can tell I've hit a bit of a bump.
*I've been cutting these out of full layered screenshots. I'm probably putting too much effort into ripping right?
I was going to rip those, but... Ah, well.
I'll go help you out with that in a few minutes. Especially with the "Helper" icon/text from the NOVA stage.
I'll be honest. I went for them to be the one to rip them first. XD; Ahaha, I must be prideful or something. Thanks for any help you can give.

S'all good.
Anyway, no luck with getting the Helper icons yet. I
WILL figure out how to get them, though. (If I can just find the Ability values...)

A misc sheet huh? If I were you I would also include:
- Food (difficult because there's so many and they're scattered everywhere)
- Copy Machines (easy to rip from the first room of the Arena)
- Treasure (easy; just collect all the treasure and then pause to get them all in a single snapshot)
- The little icons that appear in the credits for Revenge of the King (easy; just beat the game)
Also don't forget that bosses have a health bar too (it's blue). You're also missing the icon for when Kirby is sitting in a cannon.

Not really. At the moment that's the only way we know how to get the items that you're ripping. The only things we've figured out how to rip from the data so far is Kirby and his helpers.
I can't wait to get this game!
I think the first post check list would be really helpful for anyone reading this thread. I hope someone rips the waddle dee sprites!

Point taken. And while I'm editing it; RTB? Are you planning on doing Meta Knight? I saw you had him open in your example earlier.
(09-25-2008, 08:10 PM)1up01 Wrote: [ -> ]I hope someone rips the waddle dee sprites!
Which ones? The enemy, or the helper? 'Cuz I'm ripping both.
Anyway, here's an update for your sheet, Jaabi. I still haven't gotten those Helper sprites, but I'll keep on trying before I continue with my sheets...
(That swirl icon on the bottom-left is "Mix", which is when you inhale two power-giving enemies at once.)

Nope. EliteKill wanted to rip Meta Knight, so I used him as an example, to show that it's possible to rip his sprites from the tiles. Right now, I'm assembling (Parasol) Waddle Dee and T.A.C.'s sprites into sheet form. I'll decide on what else I want to rip later on.
