now i'm slightly interested in whether or not this method existed in b/w or even dppt, but wasn't found due to shiny rate being even higher (assuming they actually lowered it like everyone suspects)

I've caught 2 shiny clawitzers and a relicanth using this method

Chained 73, reacted slightly too late the 74th time. I thought I was barely over 50 before I checked.
I must have horrible luck at catching shinies. I've been tipping 1000 Pokedollar every time I can (not that I'm spamming it, just when the moment presents itself). Shiny Magikarp from Heartgold is still the only one that I caught that is truly mine and still available to me. The irony is harsh. I really need a Shiny that I can add to my party (that doesn't need Focus Sash to be good).
