Is there some sort of untold rule that all evil sorceresses must be skimpy as heck?

I guess since they can fend off attacks with magic barriers, they don't worry about armor at all.
Impa's design seems pretty tame though, so I guess fan service-y costumes won't be a recurring thing. I'm glad they're taking after her Skyward Sword design, it really is her most interesting one. I'm also glad she's getting some spotlight for once, for being the person closest to Zelda, she sure is pretty minor in most games. (Though I wouldn't have expected the broadsword to be her weapon of choice...)

I've never played Dynasty Warriors, but this looks pretty cool to me, don't know why everyone's so fidgety. Digging the character designs so far (Didn't think Link's tunic could get better, but I like the changes they made here!), and the visuals look pretty good. Guess the series must not have the best reputation.

Regardless, I'm still looking forward to seeing where this goes.

I wonder how Link ends up with the green tunic in this game
I don't get all the hate for this game either.
I haven't played the Dynasty Warriors, but I've played a lot of Bladestorm, and that's a lot of fun. Plus, I've always hoped for a 3rd party Zelda that does something new to the series.
That red-eye wizard definitely seems to be inspired by Vaati to an extent.

Either that or 0 from Kirby is in this game.
There's a lot of hate for this game? I've seen nothing but praise and HYPE HYPE HYPE for it.

...then again, I've only been to three message boards with threads about this game.

When the teaser was first uploaded to YouTube, there was a lot of hate comments.

But then again, 95% of YouTube commenters complain about everything.
People probably criticized it for the Dynasty Warriors style of gameplay. By tradition, DW is very campy, has awful voice acting, and can be found repetitive. Personally, I love the games, even for its campiness.

What I hope they DO transfer is the upgradable weapons systems from DW, as well as more recent games' trends of multiple characters being able to wield multiple weapons. Also the tradition of a torrent of playable characters from both good and evil affiliations.
inb4 Link suffers PTSD from gazing at Ganondorf.
So, I'll be honest. I have no idea who any of the announced characters are other than Link. Am I the only one?
I know Impa.

She's Zelda's bodyguard, and often depicted as the last of the Sheikah tribe (although she clearly has many children, since the Sheikah continue to thrive...)

Shia had so much potential but then
Quote:Shia, The Black Witch; An evil witch, who had her good soul chased out of her by dark forces. She has a strong sense of self, clearly states her desires, and a provocative and aggressive personality. She wants to make the whole world hers, but especially she wants to make Link hers.

i'm hoping that that part isn't terribly over exaggerated and i have no idea why this annoys me so much : ^ )
In actuality she's Maple all grown up.
that'd be a hell of a twist that i could get behind
This would actually be the first Zelda villian who motivations revolve around Link rather than Zelda.
