I used paint.net,not microsoft paint! maybe,it's the fact that i forgot to add a nose,or more leg editing.
Honestly the tool you use doesn't mean jack shit, everything I do is on MSpaint. Its just are you good enough to use it. Sure some programs make certain things easier, but when you are doing NES inspired things, you just need a pencil tool and possibly a bucket. But I honestly have no crit on your sprites, just on your attitude :Y.

Better sprite, yes. Does it look anything like mega man style, absolutely not. Just a sprite of a semi popular ps1 platformer character.
