Also, Knuckles is supposed to be Jamaican.
That's why he has the red/green/yellow theme and dreads. Yet his accent is all wrong, give us Knuckles mon....
Australian, actually. So was Knack the Weasel.
I've seen the theory about Knuckles originally meant to be Jamaican before but there's no real legit source for it beyond one thing that got a ton of Sonic trivia dead wrong.

this post is making me wish that in the one sonic boom episode where eggman takes him to court, sonic loudly inquires in agonizing teenage curiosity "Did
I do that?"
Nack's more of a cowboy design. IE fedora, revolver, bounty/jewel hunter. The Aussie thing was just a fan guess.
As i looked at Knuckles again. I can't help but think of this.
And the leaked story where he becomes mayor, reminds me of Mike Haggar for some reason.
As Echidnas (yes that is what Knuckles is) are only found in Australia and New Guinea he'd have to be from one or the other (if he was from Earth and not a floating island around Mobius/Earth [I actually have no idea where the smeg Sonic is meant to be set now days]) and as he wears an Australian hat in Sonic the Movie I'm going to go with Australian.
Also... how the hell does Knuckles remind you of Earthworm Jim? Like I get they both have a large upper body but well, wha? I mean - ah - nevermind.

Just because the real world equivalent is Australian doesn't mean anything
Sonic is originally from Christmas island, but I'm pretty sure there's no hedgehogs there.

Link me to where it says Knuckles is an Aussie

Dude, I don't think you meant to come up with something awesome, BUT HE'D TOTALLY LOOK EVEN MORE LIKE A WWE WRESTLER, like his skin flaps would look like the streams some wrestlers have on their costume
Now I can't picture this new Knuckles without him speaking like Ultimate Warrior.
"GONNA TAKE YOU DOWN HOAK EGGMAN, SKRONK, CAN YOU FEEL THE DESTRUCITY"

Implying that Sonic ever bore any importance in japan ever despite being a japanese series.
VG Cats actually uploaded a comic regarding this.
Never liked VG Cats. Didn't really found it funny, and the fact that idiots agree with the comics' opinions.
And they will do the same with this one.

Surprisingly, I met with one of the artists from VG Cats a long time ago. At first, I wanted to help him on the comic because I was in a phase where I was obsessed with working on a successful web comic; however, as I grew more mature and figured out how overrated the comic is, I would rather create a successful web comic from the ground up.

What makes people idiots for agreeing with a comic's opinion? Don't you think that's a little harsh to say bud? Especially when it's obvious the comic is just poking fun at something.
Back in the old forums. A few people did it as a reason not to see certain movies or buy certain games.
Maybe i was a little too harsh, even if i still don't like it. And i do agree that its overrated.
And the "two buddies and video games" genre did get overused pretty quickly.
*Now back to Sonic Boom*
I don't see the comparison with Amy and Michelangelo. The other three, sorta do. If the fourth hero was Espio, it would be easier.
People should just make more comics that appeal to my tastes. And if they don't, they're bad and overrated.
Design-wise, Sonic Booms are kinda generic in the usual sense, in that they are simply more like the typical portrayals of each character's base stereotypes.
So before, they just acted like their stereotypes, and now they just look like them, too.

not gonna lie, i don't like VGcats either and i never really found it funny (and that posted comic was pretty eh)
but the fact that it poked fun at itself at its own expense (and obnoxiously so, commenting on itself [the webcomic] as a whole, oh god) in the last two panels of that posted comic actually made me chuckle twice
which is a big step for VGcats and penny arcade, i usually never chuckle or even smirk
