If you look at the mario to ball ratio here, it's about right. So I'm not trying to be lazy, but I want to stay partially true to paper mario.

I'm looking at this fire mario and there are five shades in the hat while there are only three in the palette. Is that intentional?

Unintentionally, I forgot to edit the pallet when the recolours were made.

LIGHTNING MARIO!!
The zigzags are lightning bolts. The 2 outline colours are going to be transparent.

Maybe you could also have the bolt light up? (Like becoming white)

i feel like he should have a suit more original than a palette swap, it doesnt really relate to lightning besides the color

How shoud I do that? Black cloud overalls? Lightning animation? Lightning bolt on the hat? I'm not sure what would look the best.

That's the fun about spriting, endless amounts of creativity. Just think of something that you think looks cool and see how it goes from there. If you're having other people tell you exactly what to sprite I believe you're doing it wrong.

One thing, could someone merge this thread with my "Custom Mario Sprites" thread? People might want to see older versions of this. Also, no more lightning mario. I'm not going to make a game anymore. No custom power ups. So anything else to say about regular/fire mario?

You should've added on to your old thread instead of making a new one if you wanted to do that.

You might want to compact the Mario sprites. All the space is unneeded

Forget it. Sheets got rejected. Gotta work some more! Plus I wanted to retract them anyway. Sorry if the submission was jumpy. I was just excited.
