Full Version: Extracting sounds from Disney Infinity (Wii)

Hello!

I have a Wii ISO of Disney Infinity and I've been trying to extract voice effects from the game.

Inside the "sound" folder of the ISO there are loads of .fev and .fsb files, usually 1 of each for every character. For example, for Elsa there is:

fro_elsa.fev
fro_elsa_se.fsb

I've tried extracting the sounds with Dolphin and WiiScrubber but the same thing happens in each program. The filesizes are always 0 bytes after extraction.

Would anyone be able to help me? I'd like to extract sounds of the characters, such as Elsa and Jessie.

Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!
That's weird. Are you making sure that in Dolphin, you're saving the file with its extension? That might help, but IDK.

Also, as a side-note, Puggsoy's VGS Converter says that it's compatible with .fsb files, so when you finally get the files to extract properly, you could use this program with it. It may not work with this game though, but it's worth a shot.

Is there an option for that? The extension is coming up correctly on my desktop though. Would it be a problem with the ISO? Since it's happening with WiiScrubber too (and that was giving me an error on extract).
It might just be a problem with the ISO, since all of the Wii games I've tried to export from export their files just fine.

Anyway, with VGS Converter, what you want to do is drag the sound file into the program window, and then click on Convert. Clicking on Add Files usually doesn't work, so just drag the files into the window instead.
I'm halfway through getting another ISO so I'll let you know how that goes. Thanks!
A note about VGSC: the latest version has less of a UI. Don't drag into the window, file selection dialogues will just pop up. It's not quite as user-friendly, I admit, but it's more stable and better on the whole. I plan to give it a proper UI eventually, but for now this should suffice.
I've had more success with the new ISO. I'm able to extract files with their proper filesizes now.

I tried converting those .fsb files with your VGS Converter but it just comes up with "File isn't supported/doesn't exist".

I downloaded this FSB Extractor and was able to see the contents of these FSB files. Every sound in these FSB files are in an "Unknown" format. When I extract them they come out as .raw files. I heard nothing but static when I tried to play these .raw files in Audacity. What does this mean? Can I convert these .raw files to .wav files? Or are they not meant to be converted?
Have you tried converting these .raw files with VGSC? Otherwise if you upload them I could take a look and see if there's anything I can find out.
Same thing happens when I convert them to .wav files using VGSC, the sounds are just crazy static.

I've uploaded the files here:
http://www.sendspace.com/file/a3633t

Included are the FSB/FEV files, some other FSB files I found in a dialogue folder, and a sample of the raw files that you get out of them along with the result of converting to .wav using VGSC.
I had a look, I'm afraid I can't do much though. My guess would be that it's an FSB format that hasn't been seen before (despite the header suggesting it's FSB5). Sorry!
