I don't know. I don't see Plessie being able to drive a kart nor a bike. Unless they shrunk her down, then maaaayyybe it could work.

It doesn't seem entirely improbable, since they did the same for Queen Bee in Mario Kart 7.

wiggler and honey queen were playable drivers in mario kart 7.

this seems pretty plausible.

actually yeah let's talk about that. i can handle competition and losing in multiplayer because someone else coming up behind me with a mushroom at the last stretch of the race is a move under that person's control, which they took advantage of. that's ok! but in single player, someone coming up behind me with a mushroom at the last stretch of the race is a move under the game's control and outside of my own, which changes the main game mode into a crapshoot. i mean, that's been the case for pretty much every mario kart game after super mario kart (and arguably after 64), but that doesn't change the fact that it's poor game design. it's equivalent to an unavoidable thwomp that permanently follows your exact horizontal location until it stomps you. game factors should never take control away from the player if they didn't bring it upon themself.

it's to the point where i wonder why mario kart even has a single player mode when it's clearly designed to be a party game and little else.

Hopefully we'll get another set of DLC if this one turns out to be true... Having the complete set of Koopalings but no Bowser Jr. feels really damn weird to me.

The rumors about new character rosters are no longer false, they could VERY well be the interaction with that Amiibo thing.

Well, if that's the case and it's the reason why we are left with characters like Pink Gold Peach, then Nintendo is being a little like EA in that regard by barring the good stuff with DLC (or their equivalent to it).

But Pink Gold Peach is so much coolr than Diddy Kong rigth?

Not sure if anybody else here knows, but yeah there are now going to be Mario Kart 8 Toys at Mcdonalds
