please tell me those trainer designs are fake

I dunno, they look OK to me. A bit off, but not that bad.

They kind of remind me of the Megaman NT Warrior series...

The trainer redesigns aren't so bad. I thought they'd just buff their Emerald outfits to be honest. Looks kind of like a step back from those.

Few things with May's design. They should've kept her gloves and left the bandanna the way it was. At least Brendan's hat now looks like one.
The Mega-Evolutions look pretty badass. Diancie however, reminds me of a Disney Princess.

I think that was the point of her design since the beginning.

Anyway, it looks like another starter is getting the Dragon Type treatment. I wonder if Feraligatr will become Water-Dragon when he Mega Evolves.

Yea I'm actually very very pleased with all the designs once again. I don't think Game Freak has disappointed me once since Ethan/a select few gen 5 pokes, but I don't have to play as Ethan anymore and those gen 5 designs are "growing" on me (I can accept them, I don't like them).

One of the few things I don't like is that they kind of already did the spandex thing on Ethan and now Brendan has it. Again, I love Brendan's new design. I love his hat and attitude and I love May's new bandana and attitude as well. The three new megas look fantastic. All of Team Aqua and Team Magma got a great overhaul giving them a lot more personality.

My biggest qualm is Steven fucking Stone has a god damn CHARIZARD X. WHY. WHY NOT MEGA AGGRON. NINTENDO, GET CHARIZARD OFF MY JOCK. I know you hussied him up just for me and I can appreciate that but I'm not trying to dick ride him. If you insist on making me love Charizard, at least give Charizard Y some equal representation.

it's likely that he only has a charizard x b/c he's the one to introduce you to mega evolution and he uses charizard to demonstrate

considering it's steven stone, we probably will see him only once until later on when he returns as champ (unless he turns out not to be champ this time around, in which case i'm sure he'll give us a beldum with a metagrossite attached)

either way, i'm pretty sure 'zard x isn't going to be his signature mega. that guy is the metagross poster child

they turned may from "confident, adventurous, athletic girl" to "generic female npc"

im hoping for in this one we can breed any 2 pokemon together not just same species
would be cool to be able to have a mewtwo crossed with a zapdos or vic versa

they probably wont add it because it is a remake but if not this one then hopefully the next one!
