gors, it would be nifty if you supplied us with the samples you used for this soundtrack. just in case anyone wants to feel free to make their own character themes (and for the sake of consistency). :0

I don't have the same sample banks, however I can retrieve them. It'll take some time. If you have an idea for your theme already, feel free to 'sketch' it in other music programs.

let's talk about music.
i've talked with gors a bit recently, and the basic summary is that he doesn't want to have any future effect on the project, so all of his previous assets (sprites, music, game concepts, story, etc?) are ours to use as we wish. or, y'know, the project leaders' to use as they wish, if we have project leaders. i guess we do? anyway, the samples that he previously used aren't "lost," but he doesn't have them, and i'm not interested in going out to try to compile them again.
i'm willing to attempt to do whatever music tracks are necessary for the game's full soundtrack, whether this means covering existing music or writing new compositions. yesterday, i downloaded a large pack of instrument samples from various capcom arcade games and redid crappy's theme using them. this CPS2/QSound style is what i would use for future songs, as well as for covers of the songs gors already made so the soundtrack has a consistent sound.
i encourage anyone on the forums who's a character in the project to try writing their own character theme, either doing so and sending it to me to revamp with the samples linked above or using the samples from the get-go. the CPS2/QSound instruments will give the soundtrack an overall cohesive feel, but having multiple composers and arrangers will bring a nice variety of styles to the mix. so, if anybody has any input...

I understand that I'm semi-new here, but I can help out with the music if it's an emergency? I've listened to enough where I get the style and could totally help out if needed
*edit* also made a thing with the samples if anybody wants to hear what they sound like before downloading

well, i could've phrased that better. it's a suggestion! if you don't want to try, then talk with someone who does know anything about music composition, like me (or doc up there who's volunteering), about writing a theme for you.

Is there an "imgur" for MIDI-files?

The first song is a remaster of the True Final Boss theme from Princess Fantasy Catventure. The second is a theme I made for Icicle's stage, Xero. If you could make a theme for Xero inspired by these, that'd be sweet.
Edit: Had another song already in my Dropbox I wanted to share. It's the final boss theme of Radiant Mask 2, which was a Shy Guy/Metroid fangame I made ages ago.

Babylon Kingdon theme
If anyone wants to adapt this for the Babylon Kingdom stage, feel free. In case Bouncy Park gets included as a stage, I want Neko's theme to be on Bouncy Park and the Babylon theme on Babylon Kingdom.
