The head only turns slightly to still be able to see the circle on the hat.
Oh and I finally got the feet to stop moving during the Punch

his back leg seems to grow/shrink rather than bend
that's not what i'm trying to get at, his
back leg doesn't look like it bends, it looks like it bends, i make this gif to try to show you what i mean
see? whenever his leg retracts, his foot stays completely still, which is impossible unless you move your body way back, your character's body moves back, but not enough for it to make sense, try making his foot slide forward a bit during the retraction, or make his leg bend way less when he throws the punch.
Imgur isn't letting me upload anything right now. So, I'll have to either wait until it doesn't consider me a bot, then try again, or find some other way to show my edits.
Edit: It finally worked
I also finished making the strawberry sprites.
The punch is really slow and lacks any sort of range.

The range thing is intentional. To speed it up, I could remove one of the frames.
The punch is faster now.

Maybe, you could keep the buildup, but have the attack be more powerful?

I didn't remove the buildup. I removed the transition frame between the buildup and the punch.

Your character doesn't follow through the force he's delivering - his head practically does not move, and there isn't a lot of torsion in the torso when the blow is delivered.
I pushed the head and arm forwards, cut the frames down from 6 to 4, because two frames were very similar to other frames and redundant if taking into account the 4 frame guideline.

Should I just use your version of the animation or do I have to make my own version of it?
Depends if you want to learn anything by trying it out yourself. I don't care if you do use it or not, either way.
That's better! Have you noticed how far back the the darker arm is when your character thrusts his fist? This means the thrusted fist/arm is pushed even further forward because of the way the torso's right side has shifted forwards (as opposed to the left side shifting backwards). I think you can still move the shoulder/arm/fist forwards - that or make the darker arm less visible in those thrust frames.
