I think I'll try starting each day with a SEGA Hard Girls doodle

is it bad that I can't associate the hardware with the girl's design? It kinda looks... idk (not your fault, of course; the designs themselves are kinda eh)

as for the actual drawing, her face lacks volume, as in it looks like her face is flat and the features are drawn on it

Is this a female version of your OC?

It's a separate character wearing gear that belongs to my Retroman character. There's full armor, but she's only got the gauntlets, greaves, pauldrons, and "Retro-specs" on over her default outfit.

She looks more like a vocaloid or something, I agree, although there are small smart touches like the gloves having the SMS controller pattern on them (not visible in that drawing)

and yeah, not too happy with the face, I'm not comfortable with these proportions yet

I like the 'flower' on her mouth, it really makes it look like she's shouting. Interesting style

I seem to recall it being done often in old anime? I always liked that sort of thing and am controlling myself here not to go wild with it since I'm just focusing first on learning the designs
