I'm not really sure. Think about 4CPU Ice Climbers. That's basically 8 AIs in one screen with potential Pokemon and Assist Trophies. I bet they really wanted them in, but then had to find an excuse to get over it. I mean, this game even disables the web browser, miiverse and has to restart after each sessions because it takes so much memory, it's insane!
The full version does that as well?
I thought locking the system to just Smash was some kind of weird Demo security measure.
Nah, even the demo asks a lot of it. This game really pushes the 3DS far beyond everything, it's a wonder they didn't just give up on it ahaha
Apparently people have gotten some renders from the game out by hacking.
The big news is that there are icons that refer to the use as a second page for the stage and character select screen.
The plot thickens.
Just wanna say this in response to that: special Cup icons were found in Mario Kart 8 well before DLC was ever announced. There was no evidence of the content in the DLC other than these Cup icons either.
There's a very good chance for Smash DLC, if that wasn't clear already. I:
I really hope you don't have to pay for all the DLC characters twice if you want them for both versions of the game. Somehow I don't think that's going to be the case.
I think that there will be DLC, but it won't be huge. Kinda like the Mercedes-Benz MK8 stuff; not too much. Maybe a few stages is all; the 3DS version is already jam-packed as it is; I don't think it could handle a big DLC.

You can connect your eshop accounts together, maybe they can use that to ensure that you already bought the dlc?
When DLC happens for Smash, I REALLY hope alternate costumes are included. They obviously shouldn't take priority over full characters or stages, but seeing Little Mac with 16 colors makes me wish everyone could have that.
I already posted my massive, unreasonable costume wish list before, but the ones I really NEED to see done are Dry Bowser, Masked Dedede and Masked Lucina.
i dont want to be that guy, but am i the only one who was sort of turned off with this demo?
dont get me wrong, the game is pretty fun and all, but damn is it a strain to play, at least for me
my hands cramp up within the first couple minutes of playing it, and the eye strain is killer (i dont use the 3d feature at all)
I am using an original 3ds though, so maybe these issues dont exist with a larger model?
Either way, as much as i enjoyed the demo, i think ill probably pass on the 3ds version and just wait for the WiiU one to drop
I don't know man, I'm using my original 3ds and it's not hard on the hands or eyes at all.
The only game that ever really got hard on the hands was Mario Kart 7 for me personally, and I've never had a problem with the 3d like many others.
I've played a ton of the demo on my XL and I'm fine. I could see the smaller 3DS causing some discomfort on the hands though.
Yeah its probably just me, my hands are a little more worse for wear than some
maybe if i get like a grip case for my 3ds it might help, something more to hold on to you know
Its not like i ever put the thing in my pocket anyway
Nah, I get it - I can't find my 3DS at the moment (since I've not played it in months) but I struggle with the 3DS' controls. I noticed it mostly in Kingdom Hearts.
Saying that, when it's attached to a podium, like when I did play Smash on it, it isn't that bad. I wish that I could get a podium grabby thing to attach to the side of my desk or something, that'd be ace.
