SSB and consistency dont walk together though. It works on the 'most iconic appearance' rule more than anything, and the characters are molded that way.
And honestly i prefer them with beast-like voices because i think it fits more. Personal preference.
Unless Bowser gets his BIS voice actor, or DK gets his DK64 voice actor, I would rather they sound like animals indefinitely. Even if those two things were possible I'd probably prefer the classic monkey sounds and roaring.

Would Grant Kirkhope be ok reprising that role though?
I find Bowser to be more intimidating with the roars, and I prefer DK when he doesn't sound like a Hanna Barbera reject
Crappy's head hurts.
I seriously prefer Bowser and the Kongs' normal voices over those stock monster and ape sounds; gives them more of a personality, and wouldn't Sakurai want to give every character just that?
Then again, this is the same series that used pitch-shifted Mario voices for Luigi at one point.

Bowser's had his BIS voice actor for years now, dude.
Also, US commercials are starting to drop!
That commercial was hilarious!
Although I still like this one better:
I know that the first thing I want to do when I get the game is make a custom Luigi named Crappy, and then a Mii Brawler of Blue Crapsman and make them duel to the death.
incidentally, i was planning on doing the same thing
Oh - I noticed while I was out and about, that the Smash Bros. 3DSes are in stores now.
Though I doubt anyone's gonna pick them up now that the New 3DS :0) is on the way
I'm actually really good with Megaman i'm surprised most others find him difficult to use, well Ness/Lucas are apparently hard to master and i master them just fine.

Exactly. It's about personality. Bowser, Donkey Kong, and Diddy Kong have no personality in this game. They're just mindless animals which is not what they are.
I wouldn't mind as much if Smash didn't leave such an impression on the public. No one knows what Captain Falcon is
really like. He's just a PAWNCHing fool who wants to see YO MOVES.
Mega Man was my best character in the demo, but they all feel vastly improved.
I actually think that Bowser, Donkey Kong and Diddy have a lot of personality, at least compared to previous Smash games. They have a lot of dynamic facial expressions (for example, Donkey Kong's taunts now have him grinning and smirking in funny ways).
I think other characters of the game have a lot more personality problems within Smash than those three.
