It was taken down by the user, not Nintendo or any form of copyright. Not really proof. 

The render is too out of style for it to look real to me. None of the other characters have shading like that, especially on skin.

Man this leak is almost as unbelievable as when some shithead on 4chan tried to pass off that dog from Duck Hunt and fucking DARK PIT of all people, oh man. Remember the hilarious Shulk posted that was actually photoshopped from Little Mac? My favorite part was when they modded Brawl to try to fool us with some cheap looking Bowser Jr. rig! XDDDDD

The actual leak at least looked real (since it was), so I didn't feel the need to put on my skepticles. However, this one just looks too fake and there's too much possibility that it is fake, given how long the game's been out.

I'm not that desperate for Rayman, I don't play his games so I'd never have that face. :V
What I'd be happy for is for even more people to have to sauté, boil, and season their hats for human consumption yet again like the time of the ESRB leak. I'm also happy for his fan base, he may not be on par with the 4 gaming legends already included in the package, but he's certainly in an iconic tier of his own that I think fits perfectly in Smash.

Comedic pics aside, Virt, this one actually looks even MORE in style than the ESRB one. I really can't see what's off about it, we even got a video of the guy trying to select him that had the menu transition of his and Mewtwo's CSS icons rolling into view frame perfect alongside every other character. People have analyzed it to death with programs like Photoshop and found its perfectly in place, you just can't replicate scanlines like that artificially, and now even Xander Mobus (the announcer) has made a highly suspicious tweet about the whole drama.


Two original professional quality renders we haven't seen before (the Rayman one was found to be almost identical with the trophy when it was angled but not quite, as if it were updated more) on the character select screen. Where have I seen this before?

This is like the ESRB Leak all over again, people were giving the same claims with Duck Hunt not looking in style somehow. Except this time its even more believable. My saying is to count to count picture leaks false until they can be proven true, but now we have video???


Let me also state that the main menu of the man recording shows "SHOP", something people had recently found already partially precoded in the game data specifically for an update, dialogue and all. Come on

I'm still skeptical, but your points are good.
If this does turn out to be true, I guess it'll just be an interesting artistic choice with having that much contrast in the shading on his.... mouth? Is that a beak? I have no idea. But yeah, the contrast in the shading was my main thing with him being out of style, so it's probably not thaaaat big a deal. It's just a lot different from a lot of the other renders.

Does anyone else find it fitting that Ubisoft's rep is going to be DLC?

What excites me about all this is the fact there is a shop menu. It seems kind of pointless to make a shop menu for just two characters, so I am hoping that there will either be even more characters, or characters and stages that will be available.

Watch Nintendo pull him because dickheads can't just let something be a surprise.
