Where's our Final Fantasy 7 Nintendo Wii U Version?

I can not believe, that Cloud of all characters in Final Fantasy would actually make it into Super Smash Bros.

Actually I'm not gonna lie.

Now I want a Super Smash Bros for Playstation. (not gonna happen but hey we can dream)

Sorry to say, but I'm honestly not impressed.

I found the whole direct kinda weak as hell, but, wow, that reveal.
That was something.
I'd pretty much only get Cloud to piss people off in smash. Other than that, meh.

And now we wait until December when they drop another megaton or two on us.

But yeah, absolutely no possible way for ANYONE to have known, not even myself.

Never played FF7, so all I see here is another swordsman that doesn't seem to be bringing a whole lot of unique elements to the table. With one or two exceptions, like that projectile slash that was shown, everything seems to be derivative of sword-users already in the game.

As a personality though, I guess I'm glad he's in the game? I mean I might not have any interest in him, but this is going to make a LOT of people super happy, so I'm glad that's happening. And from a business perspective, it's a pretty brilliantly timed reveal to help push sales for Christmas.

It does kind of make me wonder if maybe the Final Fantasy 7 remake could also be released on the Nintendo NX?

Me from 2004 predicted this event. I am the Final Fantasy oracle! Now we just need to wait for Goku, Crono, and Crash Bandicoot.

I actually really like this. I remember when I was really into Final Fantasy (Couldn't beat 1, but I had played 2 and 3 on SNES and owned 3, and loved the hell out of it), but everyone in my age range at the time in like... 2nd grade through 4th grade had little to no interest in it. Then FFVII comes out and EVERYONE is into it.

Cloud is really one of the most recognizable FF characters, so it makes sense that he'd get high requests. I'm just happy to see any Square-Enix character at all. I'm also excited to learn how his Limit system will work, though I assume it just builds over time and with damage. It looks like it can be pretty strong when it is charged to max.

What I REALLY want to see them do is to dig deep for his costumes. I'm just expecting his standard gear and Advent Children costume to get recolors, but I'd love to see the other costumes he wears in FFVII, as well as maybe his Kingdom Hearts gear, which was sort of inspired by Vincent from VII. We'll see when he gets closer to release, he doesn't even have a character page yet, just TBA Download info.
