But why would there be two identical trophies of Rayman, with the only differences being the eyes wide open/halfway shut
...unless trophies have animations now.
I'm sure ones just an updated version. They're way too similar IMO

So Rayman's not playable, but Rabbids are. I can see it, considering how the Rabbids games have been better than any Rayman game in the last ten years, and every game that they've been added to has been great just because of them. Also, no one gives a shit about Rayman anymore, and the Rabbits are a lot more relevant now a days.
Haha, I'm so full of shit. I'm kidding
If the Rabbids were to appear, I'd rather they be Smash Run enemies while Rayman is the playable character. Honestly, the Rabbids would be pretty great in Smash Run.
So you can bash in it's skull?
Well, they were originally Rayman baddies anyways, and they're the perfect kind of one-size-fits-all minion where you can give them pretty much any weapon to go wild with.
There has been this one leak floating around for a little while that claims to be true by providing evidence of knowledge of the game by having posted several alternate colors (set in a Brawl mod, mind you) for the new game dated BEFORE they were revealed during the E3 demos (One of which is a color for Bowser that I happened to like).
Like every leak I ever read, I'm not convinced it's true, but out of anything out at the time this one has the only possible evidence of any prior knowledge of in-game content BEFORE said content was revealed, those being the palette swaps. However, the leak as a whole seems to be jumbled and confused and possibly from more than one person, I didn't even read the whole thing.
Also unfortunately, I only have it in this image format and it looks like shit:

That's very interesting, but I'm hoping it's not true... I don't know what I'd do without Ice Climbers, and Bowser Jr. not taking advantage of his unique attributes rubs me the wrong way.
That Bowser palette is not...THAT surprising. It's basically Super Mario Bros and Super Mario World Bowser color pallete, in which he did not have his yellow belly. I think this guy just made a bunch of alt costumes and published some select ones that ended up matching up
I wouldn't mind it being true. Duck Hunt Dog would be pretty sweet, and I wouldn't be too sad to see the IC's go. I love 'em and all, but they're honestly the worst characters to play against. Chain grabs, wobbling, GAH
Yeah, and if there was a legit reference showing where Mario's blue palette came from, it would hurt its credibility even more and fall under a "lucky guess" kind of area.
I just try to keep an open mind as well, though. With the release date getting closer and closer, there's eventually going to be a TRUE leak, if there hasn't been one already. I remember when nobody believed Brawl's complete roster list when it was leaked, but it was 100% correct. Granted, that was less than two weeks before the release date in Japan, so who knows when it'll happen this time around.
Getting back to the Kirby stage/music discussion ...
Triple Deluxe is certainly the best traditional Kirby game that's come out in ages, and it did have some excellent music, but I doubt we'll see any music from it appear in the new Smash game. It just came out way too late in Smash's development. It's not impossible since there's always the chance that Sakurai asked requested assets from Hal while the game was in development, but it would be difficult to know what they are looking for.
It's much more likely we will instead hear some music from Kirby Mass Attack and Return to Dream Land. Or Epic Yarn even if we're lucky (God I want an Epic Yarn stage).
Additionally the main problem with reskinning the boxing arena as a Dedede themed stage is the audience. All those human models would have to be replaced with Dream Land characters, so it would have to be way more than just a simple skin. You might not think it's important, but Sakurai is very adamant about details such as that.
Some Kirby stage ideas:
Butter Building: Kirby's Adventure (NES) - They made it work for Kirby Fighters, it can't be that hard to figure out for Smash Bros.
Great Cave Offensive: Kirby Super Star (SNES) - You start out in the generic cave/foresty area, and every once in a while the floor caves in leading the fighters to another section of the cave (crystal area, castle area, garden area) at random. There's also a small chance you might fall into a boss area, where fighters may encounter Fatty Whale, Chameleo Arm, or Wham Bam Rock.
Castle Dedede: Kirby 64 - A traveling stage of sorts. You start out in front of the castle fighting over a large platform. The platform then moves into and through the castle, eventually ending on the rooftop. Seriously, go back to Kirby 64 and play this level and tell me it wouldn't make an excellent stage.
Patch Land: Kirby's Epic Yarn - Basically the equivalent of the Paper Mario stage but for the Wii U. Features various locations from Epic Yarn, which are occasionally unraveled and remade into a new form by Yin Yarn.
Also not Kirby related but I would just like to throw it out there that I'd still really like to see an "under the ocean" themed stage from some franchise. Starfy would have been perfect for this ... just because he's not a fighter doesn't mean a Starfy themed stage is impossible, does it?

it's based off of Mario's art from Mario Bros.
tbh I don't think we're gonna see Bowser Jr. playable, if only because we already got Rosalina. I think if we get any Mario newcomer after Rosalina, it'll be Paper Mario. he's in a similar situation to that of Wario or Yoshi because the Paper Mario games are their own contained thing now. Bowser Jr. would be grouped with the other Mario characters, he's really only seen in the main series games
Yeah, that color hurts its credibility for me now, because both of those colors are just classic variations someone could have done in their spare time.
As for Bowser Jr vs Paper Mario, I don't think Paper Mario would be differentiated enough to get his own spin-off treatment in the rest of the cast, such as having an alternate icon and the like. Average people would just associate him with Mario since he is an alternate version of Mario, so he'd just be grouped with them anyway.
New Assist Trophy. Guess who?
