Also Heavenly Light makes Fox's Blaster pathetic.
But the blaster covers a lot of horizontal distance, that what Heavenly Light lacks much of. It's good to fuck with people who are a platform above you though, but again, Pikachu's Thunder did that too.
By the way, Meta Knight had no projectile attack or long range attack (travelling doesn't count), yet managed to be top-tier in Brawl. Just Saiyan.
yeah, we can't really say what's completely "broken" until we get percents and knockback on it. Plus, Palutena would have to be stationary while using Heavenly Light, which is literally just asking for a pummeling.
Still, wow that's one tall smash attack.
Wow! NES Golf Mario and...
And...
Welp I'm sorry Project M.
Golf Mario is fabulous! That alone has me about as excited as any new character.
what the hell is happening (this is pretty fun)
Well they certainly are covering all sorts of ground. Makes me wonder what crazy kinds of alternate textures they for the rest. Maybe they'll give Bowser those rainbow blotches like in the final boss of Super Mario 64.
I can already hear the USA chants during a tournament
Wow.
I actually legitimately wanted Mario to have that costume.
I'm now expecting Punch Out referee Mario, but ah who am I kidding that'll never happen.
I'm more excited about the Samus pattern; not so much the design itself, but what its implications are.
From his commentary, I take it that she's meant to look like a storm trooper from Star Wars. If that's the case, it means that alternate color schemes and costumes are not limited to just the franchise that the character is from! Hell, it's not even limited to just video games! A whole slew of new possibilities have just opened up.
(Although personally I think she looks more like Mega Man's Skull Man. Still not part of her personal franchise though).
i'm pretty sure that's supposed to be the
light suit and the caption is a humorous reference to the similarity to storm trooper armor
Oh, bah. I never played far enough into that game to ever see that suit. Didn't really care for Prime 2.
Oh well, I fell for it. And now I'm sad because the implications are gone ...
Ha, this update is just awesome.
I mean, not only did Sakurai beat Project M to the punch with the Light Suit while doing a Star Wars reference at the same time, but there's also 'MURICA Mario over there.
If only we got this update last Friday...
