... guys, there's no Miis on this character select screen. I don't see any way to choose them whatsoever on either the top or bottom screens.

That seems like kind of a critical detail that we've overlooked.

There was an entire screen devoted to picking either a Mii fighter or other characters.

Some Nintendo rep said Mii's take over the random slot when customization is on.

It's off in these shots.

Isn't that the actual customization menu? Like how you access the actual menus where you actually prepare all your customizations. It says "create a fighter" not "choose a fighter". And there doesn't appear to be any way to actually get to that screen from the roster screen.

Really? Who said that and when? That seems like an extremely bizarre choice to remove Random as an option.

Miis were a glaring omission in my eyes as well, but we still don't know much of anything about how they're being implemented. I always thought it would make the most sense to have "Mii Brawler" "Mii Gunner" and "Mii Swordsman" as individual roster slots so you didn't have to configure things for each moveset when you wanted to use a different one, but if this leak is true I guess that's not the case.

We really don't know at this point since none of the new builds have used mii's, all we got is the words of someone to go from.

After looking over the current leaks in greater detail, I'm pretty much convinced that at least some of it must be legitimate. I'm almost willing to believe that leak that said these characters and cuts would be included that also added on Dixie, Ridley, Mewtwo and the Chorus, but that has no visual evidence to back it up, so that I'd call more of a hunch.

Also I'm pretty sure that "Disablad" is actually Disabled. There's so much JPG artifacts on that picture, and there's clear video footage of the Disabled bar appearing down there in exactly the same way.

At this point, I'd say it's a revisiting of the time before Brawl, where nobody believed what was right there in front of them. Scrutiny is a good trait to have most of the time though, just don't lose your heads looking too far into this. I'm content with this roster as it is and if it turns out to be something else, then that just means I'm a chump. No worries on my end though.

Sorry, but I'm gonna have to call BS on this Nintendo rep's disclosure. If that truly was the case, then, well, there would be no random selection. While yes, you could argue there already is some form of randomizing characters, it just seems easier to have a random select on the CSS.

C'mon Sakurai. Just one new DK character is all I ask.

Is anybody else a little put out that Squirtle and Ivysaur are probably gone?

I'll miss Squirtle, but Charizard definitely earned his re-appearance more, dudes basically the secondary mascot for pokemon.

I'm okay with it. It's better than losing all of them isn't it?

Pokemon is getting a ton of playable characters anyway. I'm worrying about other franchises.

Robin Williams and Grimes mii's for days.
As for losing some Pokemon, kind of like Koopaul said, they have plenty, and the big ones are represented, not to worried about it, nor am I worried about other series reps, they'll get what they get. (But please for the love of god let Duck Hunt Dog be fake) otherwise I'll have to bring in Dog the Bounty Hunter.
