They pretty much believe DK is getting shafted in favor of more Kid Icarus stuff.

I'm pretty sure barrels count as a DK item too.


Seriously though, there's a lot of reasons for that.

1. Sakurai's babby
2. More appealing to japanese audience
3. Sakurai probably developed items in Kid Icarus thinking they'd have a good application in Smash

4.It's relatively easier to port models from an existing 3DS game made already

Japanese Nintendo Direct just showed the Shulk trailer.

So it's pretty much 100% confirmed that the leak is set in stone.



(it's not surprising since nintendo took down the videos, but I'm glad that they actually decided to confirm it officially)

Japanese video detailing 3DS version a bit more. A lot is already confirmed, but there is some new info, albeit untranslated:

Some cool stuff in there, like all of Kirby's custom moves, some sweet Mii costumes, a bunch of final destination versions of stages, and a part where a bunch of random enemies drop in on a final destination version of a stage (not sure if it is part of smash run).

Anyway, even with the leak, the Shulk trailer is so hype!!!

Shulk is like really my worst nightmare

his range is stupid long, even for a sword user, and he doesn't seem to have much build up on swings and dodges so getting past his sword will be a pain with bare knuckle fighters

oh well, everyone already knows my opinion on sword users

I'll just go sit in the corner and shulk


i should clarify that i have no problem with shulk being in the roster, i just generally suck against sword characters, so i tend to give them flak

I might just be looking for things, but I see a duck in that cloud... lol
