Holy hell, Donkey Kong's playable in Mario Party for the first time since forever.
Why the fuck do we not get a regular size :L
Of course I'll still eventually get one of these like the weak idiot I am.
Kind of disappointed with Nintendo on the topic of the 3ds though.
Oh. I didn't want to spoil it. Oops.

Young Link yes. C:
Skull Kid...sorta? He's a costume for...someone. Judging by the character's lankiness it might be Link. But you're missing something
Tingle is playable

The lil baby fanboy in me cries out, realizing that this was a thing.
It's the NFC wireless adapter for the older 3DS models.
On their site, it still says
Quote:Nintendo 3DS systems will also be compatible with amiibo and will require an additional peripheral device. Stay tuned for more information.
I'm pretty sure if they've yet to announce that thing (which they've pretty much confirmed for release here, just no ETA) they'll Probably Sorta Maybe have an opportunity to announce it then...?
...aaaaand the New 3DS XL will be $199.99 at launch. Ah, that's nice.
Too bad preorders for the Majora's Mask New 3DS are already sold out.

Do you like, never leave the house lol? I'm pretty sure that console isn't Gamestop exclusive - if I remember during the direct, the only exclusives are the Monster Hunter N3DSXL and the Majora's Mask pin with Codename Steam.
Which yeah why the hell is there a Zelda preorder bonus for a different game with that game
Though I just realized something: If I hold out for like six months and they never announce a regular-size new 3DS, I can always get the inevitable Fire Emblem 14 New 3DS XL that'll be announced someday near the end of the console's lifespan.
I fear that many customers who were awaiting the North American arrival of the New Nintendo 3DS will not be happy with Nintendo that they might start a petition for Nintendo to release both the New 3DS XL and the smaller-sized New 3DS with the interchangeable face plates, similar to how fans of the off-topic Family Guy were not too happy with what happened to Brian Griffin on November 24, 2013.
My thoughts
Freemium Pokemon Trozei? Disgusting.
Captain Toad Amiibo support... really? A Pixel toad. You're fucking kidding...
Splatoon looks fucking awesome! Cool customization outfits.
Puzzle and Dragons looks... interesting?
Kirby looks ok, not that I care about the amiibo stuff.
Everything else I don't care.
Tingle is great too bad I'm not gonna get HW.

wait.....
what?
So guys. I'm stuck on a part of Super Metroid where after you get the gravity suit you are able to access the next area (very sandy), but I'm curious if I'll leave an upgrade behind in the area if I just leave and I'm not the kind of guy who likes to backtrack or miss out. Can anyone tell me if the gravity suit can help me access more upgrades there or am I gonna go it alone here? (I got some upgrades like extra missiles and stuff but there is this long corridor and a tall narrow shaft with spikes on the center of the left wall around the room where the gravity suit was and the room's background music is that same beep-boop music that plays whenever a room has an upgrade. and there is a choso up there and I'm having a hard time reaching it. Should I return to it later? *damn this post is longer than I expected*)
Hey, hey guys. Hey, Fire Emblem Hype.
Wait, are the Wii games for the Wii U eshop in HD? Or are they just going to look like the quality you get when playing Wii disks on the Wii U? They didn't specify.
Monster Hunter has a release date and a special NEW 3DS XL.
My wallet will be empty but my life will be full.
I bet the bloody thing is still region locked...which means no Puyo Puyo Tetris. How DARE they.
Sony's stuff doesn't have that problem >=Y.

Galaxy 2 is in the eShop now and its page states that it displays in 480i, so I assume the Wii games in the shop will use the same upscaling that Wii Mode already has.
I'm more disappointed that the games aren't being given more controller options. There's a lot of point-and-click stuff the Wii games do that would translate well to touchscreen mechanics (like those stars in Galaxy that reach out to grab you) so it's a shame they're forcing people to use the WiiMote for most of them.
In case you guys haven't noticed, Nintendo has put up some trailers on its Youtube account that are different than what was shown during the Direct.
Speaking of which ...

What the heck is up with that eye on top of Odolwa's head? I sure as heck don't remember that being a thing. Is there some new element to this boss fight?
... that might actually be a good thing. Odolwa is probably the least intuitive first boss of a Zelda game ever, so it might be helpful to give newcomers a blatant target to fire arrows at.
