I'll have to download the demo so I know what you guys are talking about... from the trailers it looked like it was going to play same as any third-person shooter...

You can't now, the testfire periods are over.

It's kind of hard to explain. It DOES play like other TPSes, but it still felt really strange.

Everyone tried the demo for Splatoon. No one tried the demo for Codename S.T.E.A.M.

(That's not true, a few people did.)

I wasn't able to try the Spaltoon demo was too tired from work to be able to play it -.-

I did and I honestly didn't like it...

The core mechanics seemed promising, but waiting for the AI (which apparently got patched??) was super boring, and I'm not a fan of the designs or artstyle. The music was a little too passive for my liking, too. Strategy games are slow enough by default, so when the graphics and music don't liven things up, it's kinda...eh...

Oh balls... that'll teach me to read more than the headlines, I suppose. (I assumed it was a permademo).

Well I do like seeing Nintendo experiment with styles, so S.T.E.A.M. did get my attention that way. I remember how turned off everyone was when they saw the Wind Waker for the first time, so maybe it'll catch on later.

Honestly the look and design of Fire Emblem bores me more than S.T.E.A.M. does. But that's personal taste.

But I'll admit this game didn't interest me at first glance either, but after seeing this trailer...

In the new game Wooly World, you can collect 5 "Wonder Wool" in each level (which I guess are the new flowers?) and once you do, it'll unlock a new Wool Yoshi design

I see a Burt the Bashful and Poochy design. If they have a Huffin' Puffin design this will be GOTY 2015 but this just SOLD ME COMPLETELY holy shit

The rough center of that image gives me some serious Yoshi Story vibes. I'm expecting those little Yoshis to wander around and make cute noises as I select which one to use in the level.

Would you guys be comfortable with a trading thread? I mean, I don't really know if anybody else is into trading games and such, but I have a closet of stuff I've been itching to move, and I feel like even if we don't all see eye to eye that the regular users here are all pretty honest (unlike game trading sites/craigslist/whatever we're you're dealing with virtual strangers).

Asking here just to see if anybody is even interested and so a mod can either nip or approve.

I have no problems with it so long as it has clear rules and there's a discussion on what happens if someone doesn't deliver.
