So, uhh... this is a thing.
Holy shit, I asked for it and here it is... but then again this might be exactly like that google maps thing and not be nearly as cool as it looks here :/
starting persona q-3, here's some screenshots from the intro
i love rei already
aww yeah, not only did the kero blaster demo, pink hour, received a sequel, kero blaster itself is getting an expansion! you also get the expansion free if you already have the game. though, once the expansion gets released, the price for the game will go up a bit.
So, how is it that
this has existed for a couple days now and we're still lacking in a thread for it? I honestly expected way more hype for it.
Also you're not helping my "PMD has a more vociferous fanbase than the main series" argument at all.
So
Half-Line Miami is finally out (it's been out for a while but I only just checked). For anyone who doesn't know, it's a free fan-made Hotline Miami and Half-Life mashup.
EDIT: New trailer for The Witness as well!!!
And a release date!!!!

In case anyone remembered Project X Zone, you know the crossover between Sega Capcom and Namco and sort of sequel to Namco X Capcom, here's a neat little update! A few Nintendo characters will also make an appearance in Project X Zone 2; specifically, Chrom and Lucina as a tag team, and Fiora as a tag team with Xenosaga's very own KOS-MOS.
Whether or not we'll see more Nintendo characters in the game is still to be seen, though it'd be amazing for the game to become Sega X Capcom X Namco X Nintendo. If Smash is anything to go by, that's a combination worthy of legends, only this time everyone else gets a bigger slice of the cake.
Now if we can only get Konami in there too we'd-- oh wait...
Wouldn't mind if that happened. But since there's a lack of each companies own bloody mascots, I doubt Mario would be added.
All three are in SSB4 right now, and them not being in either PXZ game seems like a wasted opportunity. Am I the only one thinking that?
Not to mention an interaction between Sonic and Klonoa being an obvious one. Even Klonoa fans wish they did meet.
Yeah, I use MMD. Mostly when I'm bored and have nothing better to do.
Well, the lack of each company's mascot may be due to the fact that they wanted some consistency with the characters's design. I mean, they all have a proportionally accurate human figure and have anime like faces (except the Servots that follow Tron around) and/or belong to somewhat serious series. Someone without these characteristics, like Mario, would not really fit into the game.
That is not to say that Nintendo doesn't have other characters that can fill that quota, of course. There's already the guys from Fire Emblem and Xenoblade, but one can also add characters like Pit, Palutena, Samus, Captain Falcon, Link (with Navi to talk for him), Sheik, Fox*, Falco*, Little Mac, Isaac, Takamaru and such.
*A bit of a strecth, seeing as they are not that proportionally correct, but could work.
I know, its kind of a dumb and arbitrary rule in a game whose main selling point is to make characters from various companies fight in absurdly extreme battle sequences, but that's besides the point.
I don't think it's too absurd or arbitrary of a rule... There's a certain segment of the gaming fandom that is immediately turned off by the inclusion of "cutesy" characters. It's pretty good business sense, and it keeps some semblance of consistency with the characters (and it allows them to avoid situations like RIDLEY IS TOO BIG or OLIMAR IS TOO SMALL).
Anyways, I'm totally on board with Nintendo entering the X Zone. Wouldn't mind seeing Mach Rider get revived, if they choose to dig deep.
That segment of the gaming fandom annoys me, lol. It's okay to have preferences, but to completely shut a game down before even trying it just because it happens to sport something cute is just dumb.
That segment annoys me too, but when you're a company that hinges on the fickleness of the general public, it's something to consider.
There's also a matter of tone... so if they're going for a Rambo-type "Look at these beastly characters" game, somebody like Kirby could break that.
I remember seeing that thing before, although this is the first time I've seen actual gameplay footage. Wasn't it part of some sort of theme park attraction?
