They can get pretty bad. Especially if you don't supervise children who have no clue about them.

Honestly, Cloud overshadows every Final Fantasy hero and villain. And in my opinion, he is a bland character.
And now we wait for an edit of the reveal trailer with booing added to it.

My favorite FF hero is probably Zidane. I just really liked 9 and Zidane isn't really the standard "call to action" kind of hero. I mean, you start the game trying to kidnap royalty.

i'm not sure why i'm really "arguing" against this like it'll change your opinion lmao, but

i actually never played twilight princess (I heard it's great but the motion controls in the Wii one are truly shite. so i ended up playing it for like an hour) so being able to actually play it with GCN-esque controls until Zelda rolls around is nice

and Linkle actually had a HUGE internet following after popping up in an artbook, so in a sense it's like tecmo koei saying "Hey, we listened. Wish granted" which is like, incredibly rare for Nintendo anyhow

and uh, I don't like FF that much but it's fucking Cloud dude. lmao speaking of unimpressive characters I'm actually surprised they didn't have a Lightning costume swap lol

I mean psht, I set my expectations low for this direct and they were blown out of the water (I was thinking it was just going to be release dates and stuff, honestly, and for Twilight Princess HD to be just a rumor) and I think that's what you gotta do for these directs. Not make a huge wishlist of games you WANT to be announced only to have them all not show up (not that you did that - but like, the rest of the internet does) :/




like Nintendo's like the old-timey dad of gaming now that plays it safe. As you'd expect in all the videos on it, people debating over whether or not Zelda games from now on should include a gender-swapped role like Pokemon.  I wouldn't mind that, but I doubt it'd happen.  Zelda's a very traditional series that almost always uses the same general plot of gather the things and/or save the girl, so, change isn't something that happens all that often here.

Also can we talk about how fucked up some of the characters in Xenoblade Chronicles X look? She looks like something from a "how to draw anime" book

Meh, better than Xenosaga characters. Those anime models really creeped me out.

Also, the only feminine form of Link that I've heard that sounds good to me is Linkara.

well, to be fair, Koh, the Japanese name for her is "Rinkoru" which is a very cute little-girl-sounding anime-ish name

too bad it doesn't translate well in English lmao
