In case you're wondering, I just got ganged on by a bunch of weirdos who decided to harass not only the livestream chat, but also my Skype. As a result, I removed my Skype username on the site and banned most of those guys in the livechat. I honestly hope that they don't follow me to this site because then it'll really be a headache…
Right now, there's going to be no stream tomorrow because I need time to decide how I'm going to handle this problem. Any suggestions and support will be welcome. Also, even though they're blocked on Skype, they still try to call me, which is irritating…
Considering that you can set Skype to only allow people you've added to your contact list to call/message you, that's...a thought

Also, you could just appear away or invisible on Skype while you're streaming, so you won't get the notifications while you're streaming...
Whatever the case, don't let this get to you - they're looking to get a reaction out of you and if they do, then they've won. :/
Try streaming again, not on Skype this time and see how that works out.
(also yeah hide your Skype details, that's why I don't post mine lol)

Well, considering you've got the whole event uploaded...yeah, people would. lol
That's fair enough. I just went into Skype and tweaked the settings to at least reduce the chances of this happening again. Also, I'll go with you suggestion of at least making me appear invisible on Skype, while I do another stream. Of course, I want to save streaming until Saturday (or maybe a day Sean/Starpower will be available to watch) because I want to give myself time to recover from this before trying the whole streaming deal again.
Also, I don't mean for this to sound rude or anything, but I more or less already knew not to feed trolls. At first, I simply let them have their fun in the chat without reacting negatively against it (even if it means flooding it). The only time I got even remotely annoyed is when I was flooded with their Skype contacts and calls. Basically, I was trying to keep my overall cool because I will end up looking like a fool and practically give them what they want on a silver platter. Still, I wasn't expecting that whole situation and it honestly caught me off-guard.
With that said, the best thing is to put this all behind me and try not to bring it up in the next stream. It's just a shame that I need to be more wary on Skype because I don't mind chatting with people on there. It's just going to make it hard for me to trust contact requests from people I don't recognize right off the bat. While it does mean that immediately denying them will keep me from getting harassed like that ever again, it does bother me if that "anonymous" user turned out to be either a legitimate fan or one of my friends on this site or another site who wants to see me on Skype. A similar reason relates to why I was a little bummed out to remove my Skype information publicly.
Now that I had some time to recover, I have plans to stream just a little bit later today.

By the way, here are the IPs I banned from the chat currently. If you see your IP, just let me know and I'll lift the ban. I'm doing this because I may or may not have accidentally banned one of my actual viewers.
EDIT: Now that I think of it, I don't exactly recognize these usernames at all. Unless someone had changed their username on the fly in the chat (which is possible for me to miss due to the amounts of flooding), I doubt I banned anyone important by mistake. Since I feel like I'd give someone the wrong idea by leaving the IPs in the post, I promptly removed them to avoid any trouble. Hiyna, if you're seeing this post now and still want to have a look at those IPs, I'll shoot you a PM later.
Another stream bites the dust. No troll problems, but I did get a call from a certain user who views my stream (you probably seen his artwork in the doodles and fished pieces thread recently). You're not going to believe this, but the guy sounds a heck of a deeper than his age would suggest!
I have plans to stream today, but don't get disappointed if that doesn't exactly happen. Currently, my computer is still crashing when I don't want it to despite taking measures to sort it out. I don't know why it does that in spite of the measures taken, but I'm going to keep an eye on it and maybe remove a few things if this keeps up.
EDIT: I had to do some work around the house today and in the evening to prepare my grandparents to stay with us. As a result, I didn't have any time left to start a stream. I'll try doing one tomorrow.
Stream done! See you next time, guys! I'll see about doing one tomorrow or Thursday.
With a new hard drive installed recently, I'm ready to do another stream. Of course, I was saving my chance to when I'm finally in the states, so I'll actually do it based on a reasonable timezone for once (not the Netherlands time I have to deal with). Since I only came to the states a few hours ago and I had to wake up extremely early to catch the plane, I'm thinking of doing the stream tomorrow when I'm not so groggy.
As for when it'll start, how does 6 PM EST sound to you?
We're going live, folks!
Just pray that the internet service at my grandma's hose is good enough for the job. Also, there might be a bit of a break where I have to go out for dinner.
That's that! My first stream in the states is over. I had a good time with it overall. I might try another stream tomorrow, but I do want to wait until I get my portable second screen delivered to my house and get it set up first.
There's a good chance that I'll stream again at 6 PM EST today. Keep your eyes peeled and (hopefully) there won't be an unexpectedly long intermission to deal with.
Heck, after that last one, I wouldn't be surprised if one of you guys have the Splunker song stuck in your head.
It's live now!
Sorry I didn't stream right away. You see, I was out and about for a fair ammoutn of the day and I didn't make it home until a bit ago.
Another stream taken care of! I won't do another one tomorrow because I need a bit of a break.
Now, even though a few "interesting" users decided to show up near the end, they didn't bug me a whole lot. Heck, I somewhat liked their company. By the way, Kosheh, did you actually attend this stream? I'm asking because I saw a guy called Kosheh the Great (who later changed his name to Chimmy Chimes) show up. I thought it was you, but one of Shade's friends suggested that he's not you due to his lack of modesty.
Forgive me if I asked a dumb question there… ^^;

that's not a dumb question at all. that is a pretty ridiculous psuedonym that person chose, though. Probably someone on VGR who didn't want to admit they were watching such a cool stream
I was kinda busy last night - sorry I missed the stream but yeah, that definitely wasn't me. :/ Shade's friend is on-point though; I probably would've just been "Kosheh"
