Yeah, Neweegee, why not try going above and beyond and adding a bit of animation? It'd be easy enough. You could have 2 frames of animation repeating quickly while changing...D'oh! I think a picture would demonstrate better.
Whee-heee! Now we can have facial hair physics in our 16-bit games, too!
DDP, are you crazy?! The world can't handle that level of jiggle physics!
If we're talking about jiggle physics, don't work on Peach next. The universe can't handle that level!
Actually, Peach's breasteses are fake, so they wouldn't really jiggle.
I've added the 2nd frames and also fixed some other things too.
VROOOOOOOOOOOOOOOMMMMM!!!!!!!
Luigi will have to come another time since he'll need to be updated now.
Also, I've started on another sprite sheet.
This is the biggest character I've done(excluding Scolipede because it was a mount), but it has actually been really easy to make.
Hi again, I haven't really been online lately because the internet isn't really fun anymore. But spriting still is so I've continued to go farther.
I'm trying to change my style; The bottom 3 sprites are in the current style and the rest are in the new style. Mario was redrawn while the others were edited.
The coloring is based on Super Smash Bros. For Wii
U/
3DS(Mario is using colors from the actual game), and even though it looks more simple, I think it's a little more complicated to use.
I'm still going to finish my Airman sheet in the current style, but I want to change my style for any future sheets(I might still use the current style sometimes).
Lets talke about that Airman. The placement of the fan makes me think the eyes should be more centered, or possible have the fan less centered and angle it to our right. I am not sure which would look better I just know there is some perspective error going on in that general area. Along with the legs seeming to not be placed correctly. I wish I was better with my words since I know what is wrong I just don't know how to say it. My apologies.
And for the plant creature I can't really tell what is going on with its far hand. Is it holding a baseball? Or something like that?
I will say I honestly preferred the colors in the older style they were much more vibrant and had contrast.
I wish I was better with my words but I hope I at least got my point across.
It's been a while since I've posted(so long that the forum changed again!?), but I did what you said and finally got the rest of the sheet done. It took nearly an whole day just to finish the Racoon form sprites.
It is freaking huge
As for the style change, I'll probably wait to do that, or at least until I get a new palette.
Quote:And for the plant creature I can't really tell what is going on with its far hand. Is it holding a baseball? Or something like that?
The angle I drew the hand at made it come out wacky, I'll need to fix it.
The flapping of the wings is too fast. He looks like a hummingbird, not a bat.
I don't really know why it took so freaking long to do this.
@Trollerskates
I've edited the flying sprite a little and changed the speed to how it should look in a game. I think it looks right now.
Also no Ride Sprites this time because Meta-Knight is too kewl to ride on an ugly dinosaur.
Any chance of some sprites where his mask comes off?
As cool as that spinning animation looks, the angle of rotation on the body doesn't match the sword. The body is at a 3/4 angle while the sword is right at the side.
there's a lack of contrast between his eye and mask, making it look merged from afar. the sword effects are crude and could use more polish and proper pixel placement.
the decal on his cape should deform a little on the climbing animation due to moving fabric, and the P-Balloon sprite should increase his mask too for design purposes.
technically the p-balloon sprites shouldn't even be that big, in world the p-ballooned character sprites were only a bit bigger than the standard super sprite
