Give Lana a chance, guys. I mean, the game isn't even out yet, and we barely know anything about her, and yet you're all shitting on her. At least wait until we get to know her more before you can actually say whether you dislike her or not.
Besides, I think Lana actually looks like she'll be a fun character to use.

Not that I'm enforcing Saria should be playable nor that I have any hope... but if anything I would imagine Saria would have an Ocarina based fighting style (similar to the Wind Waker item) as opposed to summoning the Deku tree (which still is an item and not really Lana's moves)

Two weapons come to mind when I think of Saria being playable, and in my mind she still has a chance because of it (if slimmer given the Deku Staff's moveset, which probably would have worked well for her):
1. The Ocarina:
It's obvious given Zelda's Wind Waker and Sheik's harp that instruments have devastating power in this game. As Muts already said, an Ocarina would be fitting for her seeing as she's the one who teaches Link how to play it and gives him his first one. I see no problem with her ending up with the Ocarina of Time as her final weapon, either.
2. The Kokiri Sword:
This is a little less likely given the fact that the Deku Shield would probably go hand-in-hand with it, and Lana's Deku Staff already incorporates it in certain attacks. That being said, Saria is a Kokiri. The Kokiri sword is an important sword that was meant for the Kokiri, and is Young Link's ONLY sword in Ocarina of Time. I figure it would translate to a short-ranged, but fast sword for Saria to use.
3. The Deku Staff:
This might seem a bit out of place since Lana is clearly the wielder of it in the trailer, but something that has been happening more and more in recent Dynasty Warriors games is that weapons become interchangeable between certain characters. So what ends up happening is character models share animations and basically have the same attacks. This would be perhaps a LITTLE more difficult to achieve given the difference in height between Lana and Saria, but I think it's doable.
At any rate, perhaps during tonight's Direct we may get confirmation one way or the other.

I can see Saria utilizing the Staff of Seasons or whatever from OoS. It isn't specifically a "forest" item, but most of its abilities impact plantlife in one way or another, so it wouldn't be a big stretch.

Apparently there's going to be a Nintendo Direct just for Waifu Warriors Zelda Edition today at 8 PM PST (30 minutes from now)

Hnnngnggggggggg Gfraaaaanannnnooooonndrroooooooorrrrffffffff
Holy shit, is Ganondorf using both the unused sword that was used in that tech trailer and in Smash Melee, AND a sword that resembles Demise's? Fuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuu

Well, this was basically "btw this is a Zelda game cuz it has this and that".
Ganondorf's playable tho, and looks BAMF as hell, so that's something.

Aww, I thought the presentation was good. :< I mean, it's not just for diehard fans who have been keeping up with it since day one, it's for people who don't know much about it too.
The most important parts for me were Ganondorf and the 100% confirmation that villains are playable.
Worth noting, he mentions unlocking characters in Adventure Mode. I am hoping that means there's even more characters they haven't revealed (although it can't get much better than Liondorf).

Well, the presentation was nice, but I felt like they had to specify how much it borrows from Zelda, which should be assumed since, you know, it's a Zelda game. But that's just me.
The gameplay looks really fun and hypetastic, though, and playable villains certainly hype things further (dat Ganondorf), so I'll let that nitpick slide.

To be fair, this is still Koei's game, it's just using Nintendo's IP.
This is very much a Warriors game with a Zelda skin rather than a Zelda game that plays like Warriors.
I'll hold that judgement until Nintendo does that sort of thing on something first (or second) party.

The only way the preorder bonus thing would bother me is if there were specific costume packs for preordering the game at specific retailers, like they did with the costumes for the ninjas in Mortal Kombat 9. If it's just a bonus for preordering at like a Gamestop or something and you get all the packs, I'd be able to deal with it.
Besides, the best pack is a bonus for just having a Club Nintendo account anyway.
Also, fucking Chain Chomp weapon? Reference to Link's Awakening?
This game is going to be soooo fucking good.
