Well, that direct was a bit... eh. Still good, but... ehhhhhh I was expecting some more new characters.
I'm just gonna be slightly optimistic and believe that they're hiding a lot of surprises.

I agree that's what it sounds like, but until it's confirmed I'm reserving my anger on the subject.
Also, I probably won't be too angry in the first place. The only costume I remotely like in those packs is Skyward Sword Zelda. The rest are kind of meh to me, I like their Hyrule Warriors counterparts better.
That Direct was really cool! Man, Tecmo Koei seem very dedicated to the Zelda series. There's so many callbacks to previous entries in the series, I love it.
Also, when my best friend comes back to town, I can't wait to play 2-player co-op with her on this.
It is once again TIME TO GET MOTHERFUCKING HYPED.
Ganondorf looks amazing, and I will spend hours just listening to his grunting, laughing, etc because I seriously love his voice.

I'm not sure what I'm more excited about, SchAlternate. The fact that Ganondorf and his partners in crime are playable like we originally assumed, or your talented drawing skills.
Ganondorf's new look (and his gauntlet things) remind me of Claudus from the 2011 Thundercats series

It's an epic look for Ganondorf. I wish that's how he'll look in Smash, but I'm not counting on it.
I'm still holding out hope that Zelda/Link/Sheik/Ganondorf will have Smash costumes based on their various incarnations... basically the same ones Hyrule Warriors is depicting, actually. It seems more likely now that we know Sakurai is taking a serious look at costumes, but it also seems less likely due to the Skyward Sword texture over Twilight Princess Link...
Basically here's what I want for costumes (assuming TP designs are default except for Sheik, who has a new default):
Link: Skyward Sword, Ocarina of Time, Hyrule Warriors, maybe Adventure of Link
Zelda: Skyward Sword, Ocarina of Time, Hyrule Warriors
Sheik: Ocarina of Time, Brawl, Hyrule Warriors
Ganondorf: Ocarina of Time, Hyrule Warriors, Wind Waker

Toon Link should also have a costume where he wears the Minish Cap.
Slideshow of new stuff from what was revealed at the direct. Unfortunately it WASN'T Demise' sword in Liondorf's left hand, but at least the right hand one is BASED on both that and the Gamecube one.
The most exciting thing about Ganondorf to me is the fact that he's dual-wielding swords. Wind Waker reference, baby!
