Good catch, didn't even notice that.
There's probably all sorts of crazy references like that all over this game.

Say, if there were at least one music track from every Zelda game there was, which ones should appear in Hyrule Warriors? I think that, if every game gets only one song into this game to play in action stages(sans Oot, TP and SS, since this game will borrow more content from those games than from other games), these will be the songs we're getting:
The Legend of Zelda:
The Legend of Zelda:
- Overworld Theme (already in the game, duh)
- (multiple songs)
- I dunno. I should really get either of these games...

Only because Ganondorf is bringing sexy back.
I want this to play like DW 4(only one i remember playing). I've read the game is only focusing on OOT, TP, and SS, but there's the MM moon in both a cut scene and a attack, plus Gohma/Manhandla looks closer to it's original form. So is it pulling from all/most of the games or???
Also is there a split screen or is the only way to have two people playing with the Wii U game pad?

In case you hadn't heard:
http://arcadesushi.com/hyrule-warriors-a...exclusive/
The retailer exclusive costumes are 100% confirmed now. OoT at Gamestop, TP at Amazon, and SS is yet unannounced.
Sucks pretty hard, but I am willing to bed that the DLC costumes will be buyable digitally after a period of time. And like I said before, the one costume set I'd have cared about the most (Ganondorf) is free.

Best Buy gets Skyward Sword. Also I guess I'm eating my own words.
Bleh. Oh well. I still don't have a Wii U so I won't be pre-ordering this anyway.

That's exactly what I thought. The pre-order costumes HAVE to be public DLC after a while. They just have to.

Apparently we'll be getting another Hyrule Warriors Direct.

No, it's not another Nintendo Direct. It's just a live streaming of the game on NicoNico video.

Jeez I can't believe the Japanese release date is almost upon us already. Is it just me or did this game seem to have a very short production cycle?

I don't think I'm going to actively spoil that for myself just yet.
However, I think I might spoil whether or not there are additional playables. That would make my hype skyrocket if that happened.
However, for a crossover Warriors game and considering how much more is in the game than a traditional Warriors game (in terms of bosses and items mostly), I think we are probably at the threshold of playable characters, and frankly it's a pretty good list already.

Like I said in the previous iteration of this thread, I never played a Dynasty Warriors game before, but Hyrule Warriors looks pretty sweet, so I can definitely see myself finally playing Dynasty Warriors afterwards.
Which one would you recommend I start out with though?
