Also it has no Hyrule Warriors art, it has Skyward Sword based art.
So, is anyone not talking about the fact that Tetra has an actual gun all of a sudden… In a more recent Nintendo game nevertheless?

Before you go after me from make a stupid/obvious observation, I just think that it is at least worth mentioning since Nintendo (especially in the US) has strict guidelines about that in their mainstream games. I know that it is another developer making this game and they did have firearms of some sort in previous entries already, but (at least until Nintendo asks the developers to change it for censorship reasons) I find it interesting that they are cool with one of their more iconic character wielding a weapon like that. Also, barring any games from the NES/Super Nintendo era and any things exclusive to Japan, they don't usually include guns unless they look fictional and shoot any type of ammunition other than metal bullets.

….. Then again, the fact that it's a pistol from the olds days and how the trailer wasn't exactly clear with what she's shooting out of that gun could allow this to be given a pass.
I didn't see it as more than a pirate gun. Tetra being a pirate, that is all the thought I gave it.
It's a flintlock pistol. That's barely a gun, more like a miniature cannon. I feel like that falls under the "Snake can use rocket launchers but not revolvers" logic. But even if it didn't, this game is already more violence-approved age demographic anyways.

I notice that nobody seems to be commenting on the other awesome thing that the trailer revealed. At about 25 seconds in, it shows that you can switch between allied characters on the field on command. And it doesn't just change what character you're playing, but it takes you to where that character is fighting, meaning you can cover the field really quickly. That is SUPER useful. What I want to know is if it's restricted to story mode or if you can choose a team of allies before playing certain challenge modes.

Also the fact that they have a remixed version of the Wind Waker theme .... possible new WW inspired map?

There's pistol-wielding characters in other Dynasty Warriors games. It's just another playstyle, and if anything Tecmo Koei was pushing for its inclusion if anything. :V
Finally saw the videos (or at least clips of them) and I am SUPER excited.

First of all, the crossbow weapon in the character spread that implies either a new weapon or the female Link character:

Secondly, the golden Ocarina that Tetra gets at the end. To me, this seems like it might be hinting at the inclusion of a Digdogger boss.

I waaaant this game, even though most of it I've already experienced so much already. Don't care, gimme, Take my money.
I'm honestly kind of "meh" on the idea of gender-bender Link as a unique character. If they're going to bring a new character into the fray, I think it's a better plan to give the spotlight to an established character from the existing Zelda franchise, rather than introducing another "fan" character (a la Lana). Girl-Link's model could still be used in the game, but I think it's better suited as a costume for Link or Zelda than getting to be her own character.

But that's just my personal feelings on the matter, I doubt anyone would agree with me.
I think Tetra and King of Red Lions balance out the new girl Link character.

I'm more excited that there appears to be a new moveset and weapon. Frankly I don't care WHO gets it, it is just a sign that there's even more than Tetra and the King, which is already amazing.
I doubt there's a new She-Link character but suspect that they decided the crossbow would make a cool new weapon.
I still don't like the name Linkle. I still think her name should be Chain.
I think you were probably making a joke there, but that honestly sounds like a freakin' awesome idea.
Can't. Copyrighted.

Okay, maybe not, but I miss Evolution on the Dreamcast, even if I only ever beat one boss. xD
I'm surprised nobody here has posted this yet.

Toon Link has been confirmed, as well as a Wind Waker storyline in Legend Mode.
I really hope this content is available as DLC for Wii U owners...
