Some CRIware games use audio packs containing mostly HCA format files. Not sure if directly related but you have to get past these to get to the actual files.
These are:
ACB
AWB
And can be unpacked with VGMToolbox, Eternity's Audio Tool (new), and Eternity's ACB/AWB tools(old)

HCA decoder is linked here:

A few newer games like Disney Infinity 3.0, Star Wars: Galaxy of Heroes and Star Wars: Battle Pod use Audiokinetic's Wwise format:
.BNK/.PCK - Container format for WEM files
.WEM - Audiokinetic Wwise audio file
These can be easily unpacked and converted using the
Ravioli Game Tools.

RavioliGameTools isn't always reliable, so I'd use foobar2000 for WEM, and then TXTH function/BMS script for Wem BNK + PCK...

Huh, I haven't had an issue with it yet. I may have to try that sometime though if it's more reliable. Thanks for the info!

Overall, I recommend vgmstream + foobar2000 for 99% of game audio formats
Old thread, but I guess I'll contribute:
All of these formats can be opened with foobar2000 + the vgmstream plugin.
BFWAV - Wii U / Switch Audio
BCWAV - 3DS Audio
AT3 - Sony ATRAC3(+) Audio
AT9 - Sony ATRAC9 Audio
XAG - PS2 Audio
WMA - Microsoft Audio
AIF or AIFF - Apple Audio
CAF - Apple Core Audio
FSB - FMOD Audio bank
XWB - XACT Audio bank
Nintendo Switch
BWAV - binary wave files (can be opened with foobar2000 + vgmstream plugin, and converted to any possible format of your liking)
BARS - binary sound archive that contains a bunch of .bwav's
Wii:
IRF - used in Grand Slam Tennis, by EA Sports.
WAS - something probably to do with the .wav file extension, used in Virtua Tennis games.
As I was ripping sounds from DMC1 & 2through the Devil May Cry HD Collection on PC, I noticed that all of the sounds were stored in a large .BANK files, which is something used by FMOD Studio, a sound maker program used to make video game audio. Everything in those files was in .wav format once I ripped everything, but for Devil May Cry 1, it contained all of the sounds and music and for Devil May Cry 2, it contained all of the music and cutscene dialogue.
Just found that to be interesting since I haven't seen anyone post about them on this thread.

question what about files that are ZPBN like Shredder's Revenge or Mercenary Kings?
Genesis / 32X / SCD
.iso (SCD)
.32x (32X)
.bin (Genesis/MegaDrive)
.md (Genesis/MegaDrive)
