That would be nice. What type of programming would you use?
Based off the Amadeus movie logo, always found it to be mysterious. Can't think of a name, perhaps Master Trazom.
Question: Should the music be more 8-bit to mesh with the aesthetics or 16-bit like earthbound/mother 2+?
Had some inspiration earlier and I just
Chain Smoker and its alt colour/rare version, Two Chains
@ Doc
It should be 8bit music, like GBC/NES sounding.
@ Thor
Good concept I edited it hear and there.
I gave it a smoke tail and extended the chains so it doesn't look like geodude.
I'm getting tempted to make an enemy for this game once I get the style down. I'm thinking Clawber.
(Just to clarify, these sprites aren't for the game, they are just a reference)
Funny thing is that he was designed for another RPG a while back, although in that game he was going to be the Moogle/Mr. Saturn of the game, aka, a friendly little NPC species.

So essentially like the Sega Game Gear and WonderSwan Color, where the graphics were 16-bit, but the soundchip was 8-bit?
Essentially yeah.
Hopefully the 8bit music isn't as bad as some of the music on the wonderswan.
edit
And I'd want it to feature a multi-route/open ended game. Like in Oriental Blue/Metal Max/Romancing Saga etc.
Flipped the chest back around to the way it was originally, I think you misread it, probably cause it was a trashy sprite when I first made it heh
I also quickly edited the hand a little bit and added a suggestion for a third color, I remember you saying you thought they should be elemental spirits so he could be electricity I suppose.
It's still not super readable I might edit it more thoroughly later.
Additionally, you've improved a ton, nice work.
However, I think your new lexou, while better than the old, has lost his iconic head shape, it should probably be a little pointier.
Better? Also
Tetsujin enemies
Proto Jin, T-Jin MkIII, Shejin
And Raoh without the armor
Dizzy from sleepiness will edit anymore problems tomorrow.
Love it, can't wait to see more.
Edited my guy. Now has 2 versions:
#1. Pheonix: Fire-based attacks
#2. Neptune: Water-based attacks

The anatomy is a bit odd, and the colors mesh really weird on the second one and it gives it a bit of an eyesore. Contrast is important, but matching colors is just as if not more.

[EDIT] Made the Neptune's colors better.
Well lets start with the anatomy before we get into the shading.
I also made the pallet based off the enemies colors I've used(i think I got them all).
1. The head, it looks rather bad. Like the neck is huge in comparison
2. The feet are plagued with jagginess, seem rather large compared with the head, and could use more fold lines and such.
As for the shading I think it uses too many highlights especially on stuff that shouldn't need it.
I'll post an edited version a little later.
Finally the enemy above is Salary Man and White Collar. I based the Design off Takeshi's Challenge main character.
Alright. It usually takes a while to get used to a new style. How are you in terms of scenery?
