I've started making animations for Lyn, and I'm gonna spend most of my time on sheeting her. I think Lyn is the perfect candidate for animation practice because her design is simple with advance parts, like her hair and the sword. Here's how I'm gonna focus on animations: Draw them out on Monday and Tuesday, refine them on Wednesday, add details on Thursday, and shade and refine more on Friday.
Been awhile. I've had artistic block as of late, so I'm just practicing for now. I made some bases so that when I have an idea I can just roughly sprite out it's concept. The JUS sprites are there for size refs.
I'm gonna try spriting in 3 different sizes. The first size I'm calling 'overworld' or maybe 'explorer'. The next two sizes are gonna get progressively bigger, but not too big. The biggest will prolly be around 75 pixels tall at a minimum.
^I'll get back to that project soon. But for now...
We SF now.
I'll shade now. Don't kill me. ;~;
Shaded them all like a good spriter. Any Capcom or SNK character that you guys would like to see in this style?
Set 2 with two requests done and some others for fun.
I've gotten a lot of positive feedback on the first set, but I feel that I can still do better, so I don't mind you being specific about your C+C. I'm not gonna take any other requests till I finish these.
I wonder who could that be...
Looks great!
I've been a big fan of Athena and Nakoruru for a while now
I-I think you mean left...!
The only thing I can say for certain right now is that with such a thick outline, you should try to taper it in places to show depth. For example, near the elbow pit on the arm on our left. Notice that the outline kinda just....stops? The end of it might look better if it gradually came to a point.
Thanks, Neo. I'll keep that in mind.
Finished this in two days counting today on and off. It's Eirika from FE: Sacred Stones.
