The VG Resource - Freedom Planet

Someone oughta rip sprite sheets of almost anything from the awesome Freedom Planet game!

I'm on it. Almost done with that sprite sheet there (still got a few levels left before I can verify if that is complete or not), and it'll be uploaded to tSR along with everything else at the same time.

Those are all in the works, too, and in fact are almost all completed. I just need to play through the last three stages to see if there are any more cutscene sprites for 'em. And of course the boss fight sprites for Brevon.

Actually if you want, I know the co-director of the game. I could get him to give the nice, clean ones.

Yes, please! I've personally tried uMod and Randoms technique, it doesn't recognize Freedom Planet whatsoever so I'm stuck with a terribly slow workaround. Would certainly help increase the games popularity if the sprites were publicly available!

I am making progress with my sprite rips, but these are the two that I can say for certain are fully complete.

Here's another bundle of 'em. Lilac's not finished yet, got a few more things that need to be done for that sprite sheet first.

Oh yeah, an update: They would like all the spriters who made the content credited. I haven't gotten the game myself yet, but if the spriters are in the credits, please post the list!

So the four names (I already had Stephen DiDuro credited on the sheets for creating most of the characters) in the "Pixel Art" section of the credits, then?

Done, done and done. I would assume that the "Additional Artwork" may be for the out-of-game work (I know Gashi-Gashi made the promotional artwork for the game).

I am so gonna enjoy these sprites! I can't wait for the rest! Big Grin

It's been weeks and there hasn't been any new sprites from Freedom Planet yet. Are they still in progress? I'm anxious to get Lilac and Brevon, you know.
