fuck me both screens

discuss.
Great idea, I hope it gets to the states.
Not to burst anyone's bubble, but Xenoblade's only coming to the new 3DS due to the fact that is has much more CPU (think Gameboy Color games or DSiWare).
true that, it's coming only for the new 3ds's

and those new 3ds's don't seem to hit europe before 2015, so it's going to be a long wait
Yeah, I want to play this, but I don't want to have to buy a whole new system to do so...
Eh, I think I'll still get the Wii version instead.
proof? link? anything?

You know what Nintendo should of done? Had a Bundle like Bayonneta 2 but with Xenoblade Chronicles X having Xenoblade Chronicles with it.

yeah, something i thought of too

i will happily afford the new 3DS since for now they seem so far away anyway. i really want to play xenoblade, but it's just seems too big and too long to keep me entertained for a home console game. that's why i am really with this handheld version of the game so i can play bits of the game on the get go
Having played Xenoblade on Dolphin, using a 360 controller, I don't really think that it's suited for such a small screen. The environments are huge, and without the feeling of "I can see everything"... I don't think it will really shine. It was the key element that I remember while playing it. I just feel like, with it being on a small screen, it won't have that wow factor.

The reality is that it's a great game... but it's not a portable game. It's a deeply involved game where you need to remember story elements and what you're doing, otherwise it would be deadly confusing.

I'm probably just a bit old-school and think that massive epic RPGs like this don't come across properly on a handheld console. It needs a decent screen, and it needs to not hurt your neck to stare at it for hours.

Well, considering that the Wii version is among the rarest of Wii games and is otherwise expensive to purchase, good luck finding a copy.

Was your legitimate Wii game disc securely inserted in your computer's DVD Drive as you played this? Wink

Okay okay the real reason I'm following this up is I was gonna ask if you did this for the sake of playing the game in HD
Given Dolphin's ability to upscale Wii games...and the fact the game is so pretty makes this seem like a brilliant idea I'm gonna do this when I get home today omfg
(or, I could just wait a few months for when I actually get a Wii U, derp)

Yes it was... I live in the UK, the game isn't half as rare over here.

The Dolphin upscale is absolutely beautiful, with anti-aliasing, etc. - it really is the best way to play it. It runs really well, too, considering I was running it on some older hardware than my current PC.

Playing it on the Wii U will not make it look as good, to be totally blunt. The Wii U doesn't really make Wii games look any better, which sucks. Dolphin is a beautiful piece of software for this game.

plus i made a patch for dolphin to edit the button graphics to be xbox 360 buttons instead of the poopy wii classic controller buttons but thats just because im great and like my wired 360 controller ho hum

My Gamestop has two or three copies, each for $60.

But anyway, I agree with Senjen. They should've just re-printed the Wii version, and packaged it with Xenoblade 2.
