Wait. How is it possible that you got your hands on the files already if the game's not even out yet? I smell shenanigans! Good work, regardless!

He probably got it from practicing the dark arts.
In all seriousness, my guess is that someone probably gave him a ROM of the review copy of the game. Otherwise, I have no idea how the dataminers and some other people are getting a hold of the game before release date.

The pipes sprung a leak, and a bunch of people were sending me sample files, so yeah.

What else are you hiding under that bush?

As far as I can tell, all the UV match perfectly, the textures are just higher res.
See for yourself:

Yeah, I already know. RTB has already shown that to me and I have tested it out myself. But thanks for showing.
Hi, is there a specific setup to using SPICA? I already decompressed the romfs for the battle backgrounds folder but opening a file in spica does nothing, not even an error message. Im wondering if the alola phot club backgrounds are also in the same location. Id like to request the Bell Tower background please, or just the location of the file if possible, thank you.
for the let's go models is there any way you recommend going about converting the textures? i cant seem to get any of the main textures to open in any programs. infranview, photoshop, most converters....i can open things like the bump maps and such but none of the files with '_col' in their names

There's a plugin to open DDS files in Photoshop
EDIT: Now I realized none of the textures seem to open correctly, except the normals. Some load completely black, others give a disk error. Blender can't read them either (usually does read .dds).
EDIT2: I figured out, most textures use a new version of DDS.
This Photoshop plugin can read them
How do we open the models for Let's GO in blender?
RTB (or anyone else who can answer), how were you able to open/export the player models and NPC models? Aren't those models GFPAK files? I have the quickbms script that opens that filetype but it only spits out .dat, .bnt, and .bns files. I used your 3DS script to open a ton of .gfbmdl files but all I could find were buildings and objects in that format. No NPC or player models. Any instructions for extracting player models would be greatly appreciated!
Hello Random Talking Bush and thanks for your work ! It was fast...
I'm actually using it in 3dsmax but i have a probleme with the iris, the eyes are empty and the iris texture does not appear...
Do i have to add a iris material for the eyes ?
(srry i'm a bit new to this :p)
I just finished ripping the boy's bedroom from
Let's Go Pikachu.
I really love the art direction of those games!
