The parkour system, while genius in concept, needed a lot of work too.

I haven't played Lost World yet (although I thought the 3DS demo was okay). Which version do people recommend?

Well sicne everyone else hasn't suggested it I'd try the 3DS version if for no otehr reason it's cheaper and the pick up and play of Sonic feels pretty at home on a portable. (I don't own a WiiU yet but I know the feeling is mutual sans the Screen Controller.)

Jermungundr is right though. There was a simpler way to design the button layout for Lost World, it shows they didn't bother. THe Run button In my opinion makes sense what doens't is that it's a shoulder button and with my chunky huge black man hands even when caressing my 3DS XL I'll still have to stop playing or take breaks so as not to exhaust my finger. a hold an tilt would've made more sense.
I don't think they "didn't bother". On the contrary, I think the problem is the opposite; they tried to give Sonic too many functions and didn't take into account that simplicity is what works better for Sonic games. Not just because simple controls helps it feel more like a Sonic game, but also because having less buttons to deal with works better when you're moving at high speeds and need to pull off your actions on the fly.

Wait, is the 3DS version actually a 3D platformer? As opposed to like the DS Rush and Color games which were actually 2D with 3D models?
Yes the 3DS version is in full 3D.
See, now you all have me wondering if you've played the game for more than a minute. Not that I doubt where you stand but maybe it's time to give it a more cohesive shot. I personally really enjoy the 3dS version and yes there is platforming and exploring and path splitting. Playing levels the game is at it's best are pretty fun speed runs and getting the red rings is always fun to me especially with trick jumps. Having said that there is a lot still wrong with Lost World 3DS. The placement of the run button is like #1. (L Button.)
I haven't touched the 3DS version at all. It was the Wii U version that I was talking about.
Yo guys. I dont know about you but Im seriously wishing for something like this. Sonic's version of Mario 64...

Five things that turned me off from that video showcase:

>Boost

>Boosting up a giant 90 degree angle ramp and meeting the end kept almost no vertical momentum on leaving

>Scripted loops

>Scripted springs

>Nothing momentum related

Eh I don't really know

a representative told us via

Part of me is sad. Part of me is happy by the fact they're possibly teaming up for their next main title.
That's ... not what they're saying there at all.

Any thoughts about how this will turn out guys?
No Big, no glory.
>fire and ice

Wow such an original concept. I'm sure the game will be just great, this time. I don't know about you guys but Sonic Boom: Fire & Ice™ will be a day one buy for me!
I hope that's sarcasm.

But the real question is why would they make a new game after both Rise of Lyric and Shattered Crystal were critically panned by everyone, from critics to fans, and being the worst selling Sonic games in the whole franchise ever? Is everyone at Sega really that stupid?
The TV show is the only thing keeping this spinoff alive. The comic's ending at issue 11, and I haven't seen anyone buying the toys.

Also Nintendo has disabled the rating for the trailer on their YouTube channel. They knew it would get negative feedback.
I LITERALLY couldn't believe my eyes when I saw it last morning. I had to rewatch to make sure it wasn't a fan parody.
