I'm running into some *ahem* technical trouble with getting my present done, so I don't know if I'll be able to get it in before midnight.

I'll probably post the gifts sometime after midday (PST), hopefully around 3 if I wake up early enough.

Sorry for the delay guys, something came up.
To make this a bit interesting, I made a little treasure hunt for you. It could probably be completed by one person, but it would be cool if people tried to work together to complete it. At least posting your progress would be nice, people can pitch in and maybe pick up where you left off.
So here you go:

Could you give us a hint? I have no idea how to go about this.

Just try to make sense of what I give you. For example Sportoise recognised that what I posted was hex, so he converted it to text; that's the link he posted. That file contains, in some form, a further clue. Someone should be able to figure out how to see it.
EDIT: I should probably say that the file Sportoise posted might open in the browser without automatically downloading, you should download it (e.g. in Firefox with File -> Save Page As).

When I took a look at the file, I ended up with a bunch of characters I couldn't make heads or tails with. Most of them repeated on themselves, but there's a bit in the middle that is completely different. I think it would be wise to either check that section for different characters or see if they form some kind of image, but my other guess is to try to convert it into another file type and open it that way. What do you think?

I've been at it for 2 hours now and Im in the same situation. I know for sure that its nothing BUT a data file. I tried running it as a exe but it tells me that it takes up too much memory and instantly closes. I tried opening it as a CLASS file, BIN file, DLL file... nothing seems to work. Try running it an exe on your pc, just in case mine sucks too bad (just add a .exe extention while renaming it).

Nice job E-Man. I took a look at it earlier and didn't realize it was a file of colors RGBA.
Its a raw file of colors with dimensions 1920x160

or
/qdfx9t629210ps7/99999990 (Ops7 -> 0ps7...sorry)

When I took a look at that line, the first thing that popped into my head is to try to put it at the end of a URL. It looks like the kind of thing I would see in one of those, so I think a reasonable assumption is to try it in certain URLs to see what happens.

Yeah I'm trying that out atm. I'm unsure if that's (21Ops7) is a '1', one, l, 'el - letter L', or 'I', 'Eye - letter I'...
I'm thinking dropbox or imgur

I found a dropbox page with the URL https://www.dropbox.com/s/qdfx9t6292l0ps7/99999990
Maybe the file there is another image file?
EDIT: I opened it in notepad and it repeatedly references a "fubar.txt"
Weird.

Nice Virt, it's a zip file. (Rename the file extension with '.zip' and extract).
