I remember when I first joined, I wasn't the best member around. I was ANNOYING (do a search of my posts and you'll see what I mean). I didnt just stay like that though. I wanted to improve, so I did. I'm nowhere near the best poster here but I've still come a long way. How do you improve?
Dont ask stupid questions that have obvious answers or can be found on google.
Don't post stuff just to get attention (pretty much what Kat said)
Make sure your post adds to a disscusion or AT LEAST serves a purpose.
Be patient with people.
Actually be a part of the community. Wheather it being you showing off some sprites you made or posting something in GD or real life. If you aren't in sync with the forum (or anywhere for that matter) you're not gonna get along with people very well. I say this because I know where you're coming from and want to help. Just look at other people's post and learn from them. If you try, you will improve.
How did you improve?
Did you even read his entire post? He gave lots of pointers on how he improved, and how you can improve too.
Yes I have. I'm sorry for being so irritating to everyone.

...wow. Lilo's question was so painfully obvious that Mystie came back to post in response. O__O
Oh. Which is another thing, and this post makes a great example of that.
I hate to be completely honest, but your responses seem as if you looked at a post, and all the content goes right through your eyes and flies straight out of your ears, never processed in your brain at all.
It's like, the shortest-term memory I've ever seen.
I already said this once, but I'll say it with nicer words this time.
Try to
at least skim through the posts in the topic so you can pick up what's already been stated by other members. Most of your (short) answers could be answered just by re-reading the post in question
just once.
Let me put things in perspective with this completely fictional dramatic re-enactment of what's going on here:

Mistey Wrote:Scroll down - it's directly under the "Other Creativity" board, but you need to have at least twenty posts to make a request and be an active member for one month - otherwise it won't be visible.
Stitchthelilo Wrote:I don't see it. Do I need to do anything special?
Does that make any sense...?
Okay I give up. I can't do this anymore. I'd rather be left alone forever.
...uh
you know, you could also just lurk until you're compelled to reply to a post on the forum
there's people who do that.
(we're not picking on you here, we're trying to help you. I know I'm coming off a bit abrasive, sorry, but that's usually the more effective approach here)

I know you're trying to help but I feel stressed out about this.
Dazz if you are reading this, I'm going to ask you to close my account for good. Goodbye everyone.
Ok, cya.
edit: I should clarify to other members - I appreciate the effort you put in to help teach Lilo how to conduct himself better as a member. I think that there's only so many times you can lead a horse to water until you have to let it just die of dehydration.
