I imagine Zoroark's illusions could work similar to the abilities of Double from Skullgirls; shifting between the forms of other playable characters briefly to utilize their attacks.
I wonder if they'll utilize DLC for this game to add more characters after the release date?
I already know gen 1 is gonna have the most reps since it's the most popular (and already has half of them) but I still wouldn't mind Jigglypuff and Mewtwo.
Greninja seems like a must, and Suicune can't be the only gen 2 pokemon so gimme Scizor and we're gold.
DLC seems inevitable it's a fighting game.
I just want all the Pokemon.
Just this game updated annually until I have every Pokemon that could feasibly fight on land.
Well, probably not EVERY one. I'd probably limit it to one Pokemon per evolution chain. We don't need, for example, Squirtle, Wartortle, AND Blastoise.
And I think the aquatic pokemon could be feasible fighters if they wanted to. They could just treat them the same way they do it in the Pokemon Stadium games and give them the ability to hover.
I want to see Tentacruel. He's scary as fuck and god damn under-appreciated.
Don't even care that it's another Gen 1, put them all in there

I really don't want this to happen.
What I WOULD be cool with is if every copy of the game came packaged with a Namco Banapassport card so you could put your fight data on it so you could just being the card to a friend's house (or a Dave & Buster's restaurant with Pokken, because that'll be a thing, too), download data to it after you're done, come home and unload the points you made out with friends into your game to buy mountains of stupid costume gear for your Pokemon.
Like, sure you could just write the information onto an amiibo figure, but I'd rather use the arcade cards ):
tl;dr YES I see a Pokken "amiibo series" but I'm imagining it to be literally the Banapassport cards that bear no discernible impact on which one you get, because they all serve the same purpose: recording your fight history and point accumulation

Honestly doing both would be the most lucrative. Pokke Fighting TOurnament Master Trainer Cards Collect points like capcom Tour gain entry to tournament beat local area fly out to big event (Kids are brought with their parents.) Tropy is little cup with Special Edition Pokken Amiibo as the prize possibly other cool swag.
What if they released some Pokemon TCG cards with Amiibo functionality like the Animal Crossing Amiibo cards. People would go batshit over that I reckon.
I'm not sure if that's actually plausible or not. Are the Amiibo cards the same thickness and material as a normal playing card?

I think you might need some sleep Giraffe. That post didn't read quite so clearly...
but I think the trophy would probably be best as an actual trophy and not an amiibo. :/
It might be cool because now the Pokemon championships will have THREE games from now on: The card game, the traditional battler, and Pokken. ;P

I haven't actually seen one, but I think it's just
very slightly thicker so they can sandwich the NFC tag in them.
Look I really want some figures, the animal crossing ones look amazing so maybe Nintendo has a better idea of how to make them now?
You know that they're eventually going to make a huge line of Pokemon amiibos anyways, regardless. They might as well start with the guys present in this game first for functionality sake and work from there.
Holy shit, Pikachu just did a fucking stunner
So "Shadow Mewtwo" has been officially revealed, but whats interesting is that both his English and Japanese names are the same for the type of shadow pokemon in Colosseum and XD.
