Yep. I give up. The textures won't load no matter what I do. I'm hating this: RTB worked so hard for us / me to get the Smash U models and his script won't quite work right for me, I feel bad.
and yet RTB didn't believe me that importing this was possible... tsk tsk tsk... such a naughty bush u r! xD
153493 poly's total.. still reducing it tho, but it loads fine via Wii and no lag at all, not even in 4p mode (unless its my dolphin.. lags like hell).. btw do u have the stage name and game origin file?

If you need me to, I can make you a vBrawl version of the stage name texture, and since I've been dabbling in modeled franchise icons (without having actually imported one yet, mind you), I can probably make one and the textures suitable for Brawl as well.

I seem to recall hearing that the Mario Kart stage couldn't be ported for the same reason, that's all. Anyway, here's both images. Red channel = image itself, green channel = transparency, blue channel is unnecessary I think, either way I've left 'em as-is.
Why are the hair textures for some characters Samus, Shulk, etc, grey instead of blond. Am i supposed to change the RGB channel or something.

You need to check that box when on the importing.

What exactly does the lip texture for Palutena, ZSS, etc. do? Does it add detail to their lips or something?

It's basically an "additive" texture that's completely invisible, but uses the alpha/specular texture to shine back for their lip gloss.
