Hi there, I have this .bin file extracted from Pokémon ORAS, with the desire to eventually be able to animate with it in the Valve Source engine using Source Filmmaker.
I am however having a great deal of difficulty converting this bin, and cannot figure out for the life of me the enconding of the thing.
Any help??
Thanks very much!

Unfortunately you can't get a functioning rig from ORAS currently.

I know that, sorry I should have made it clear that I am looking for JUST the model. I cannot for the life of me rescue it from this .BIN file.

Okay! In that case, search Ohana3DS, or just go to the XY/ORAS ripping project thread. This program called Ohana3DS somehow can extract the models! They get the bones too, but no weights are applied.

or you can simply wait for newer models to be uploaded in this page... anyway. if you're interested on some certain pokemon models... probably some of those are already uploaded along with NPCs.
Both options are valid. you're free to choose.

...and as for getting it in the Source engine, I've already done that too. (Use the text link in the description for the SFM-compatible models.)
Oh... interesting... So, The models before becoming BCH format, are BIN format?
Interesting... it may be quite a pain for me if every 3ds game models comes with different formats... since I have no idea of how to know the difference of the file formats by just looking on any Hex editor... I think that on my early 90s there was no class of Hex editing... Anyway... it's good to know that tidbit about Pokemon OR/AS models.
