But I can't seem to figure out the export in 3ds......*sigh
Apparently there are more instructions in the ReadMe files : (TO EXPORT) you have to run the VertExport.ms script that will generate a CSV file, and after you have to use this CSV file for the python script BFRES_Vertex.py that will generate a BFRES model file.
Or export your 3DS Max model to Collada DAE, import it to Blender and export it (or inject) in BFRES.

Thank you....I read the ReadMe file at least a dozen times and I think I just don't understand how to run the cvs with the pythonVertex.py......But I will figure it out eventually (I hope).
Thank you very much for your assistance...
Make sure you have python installed, after try to drop the CSV file on the script.

I am new to python, but I do have it installed....When I drop the csv on the script a command prompt appears and disappears, but nothing has changed.....? I think I will brush up on using python, then maybe I will understand how to.
So frustrating after days of trial and error, I think I just need to walk away for while.
Although I cannot seem to get the py script to work for me, I did use your method with Collada export for use in Blender and that works....I was finally able to inject my creation back into the BFRES and repack to szs and finally see my work in action on Wii U Mario3D world....YAAAAY!
Thank you so much for your assistance...You are truly my "hero of the day".
I am still not giving up on using the py tho....I need to figure it out or I will never sleep again.
Thanks
Just as I get a hold of the 3D world files, the link to the convenient tool is dead...

Check
my Model Importers / QuickBMS thread for the most recent version since I've been maintaining it since then.
Either way, I updated the links in this topic.
Are there scripts for Blender. I really need to import some Sochi models XD
