I love your style. it's very unique and refreshing.

It kind of makes me think of old DOS games, the way the overall design and animation works, but higher quality.

I think the gun should have another frame coming back down. It's still taking only one frame to go back down, just without the motion blur, so it looks kind of choppy by comparison. You could leave the mid-way frame as it is and just have a quarter-way frame towards the end so the motion slows down as it goes, like he's resteadying his hand to take aim again.

exaggerate the circle sizes for the projectile of the gun. make the three circles go from largest to smallest. stretch them out as they disintegrate into thin air.

Might also help to not completely synchronize them, too.
