Full Version: BLN files?

So can anyone help me out? trying to rip from a PSP game called "Katekyo Hitman Reborn: Kizuna No Tag Battle," I opened the ISO adn ran into a file type called BLN, no idea what this one is. Can any one help?

Ah ok, thanks didn't know that.

And yea im still looking into to it my self, you know any good programs i might be able to use? Currently using Noesis and Dragon UnPACKer.
I realize you've been here for nearly two years but you seem to only just be getting around to being active so you may want to familiarize yourself with the rules since a lot has changed since you first joined. No worries on the minor slip-up - it was caught quickly and no harm was done. This is more just a friendly reminder.

I don't know of anything myself but this is way out of my element. I run the technical aspects of the network but I know next to nothing about ripping. Lucky for you, there are a ton of great people here who are extremely knowledgable on the subject and I'm sure at least one of them will be by to point you in the right direction some time soon.

I'm still not sure if these are even the files with the models in them but one of them seems to be one of the few that seems to even have the file size for it. : /
MCB0.BLN looks useless. It might be some sort of offset table but I'm not sure.

MCB1.BLN has the actual data. It has SHTXPS and PSC6 headers, which after looking around I discovered are apparently image and model files, respectively. Unfortunately they seem a bit complicated.

There's code here that apparently extracts and decodes the SHTXPS files from another game. It's probably the same format, unfortunately as stated in the readme the code is very unorganised. Together with the fact that I'm not fluent in C++, that means it would take a lot of time and effort which I simply don't have for me to port this into something usable for your BLN files. Sorry Sad

The models aren't any easier. The same guy seems to have partly cracked them open here. He hasn't given much info though (although even if he did, I'm useless with models so I wouldn't be able to do much).

Your best bet may be trying to contact Bigpet and seeing if he can help you out. Through GitHub should hopefully work. Sorry I couldn't be of more help!
Well thanks for your help, I'm not really good at C++ my self sadly. Hopefully i can figure something out.
