They do look like Skylanders.
And I really don't like the bat's nose. Way distracting.
Re: E-Man, Rex: Eh, they wear the boots. If they didn't have clothing I wouldn't suggest they were sentient. I mean, you could argue that most Mario creatures wear shoes, but that also goes right along with "Most Mario Creatures Are A Little Smart".
Mario Country: I've always wanted a crossover with the gameplay of DKC, but Mario takes the place of the sidekick character. The way I've always thought of it was as a purer hybrid of gameplay, with the power-ups and the boppable blocks. Yoshi would be in a Animal Buddy crate. The farthest I've gotten with a plot is: "Mario is knocked off an airship (spit out of a warped pipe, flies off because he burnt his butt in a volcano, doesn't matter) and lands on Donkey Kong Isle, where his former rival agrees to lead him through the unfamiliar land to help get him home."

Thank goodness that I'm not the only one who can't stand the nose on the bat! It's slightly bad character design in my opinion.
Anyway, I didn't take the boots Rexes wear into account, so I'm glad that you're able to catch onto that small detail to explain what you mean.

Three Words: KING OF BUGS!!!
Two More Words: TITAN DWEEVILE!!
Tell me this would not be an awesome final smash
I would love to beat up Pak E. Derm he frustrated me as a kid telling me not to go forward like some wall. speaking of Yoshi's Story I would like to see a Jungle hut stage because you could do so much with it. sure it will be banned immediately but I don't care and the Omega can be you fighting on top of the Hut

I've always wanted them to include Louie on a "Tiny Titan Dweevil". He wouldn't be as large as the real thing, but definitely around Bowser size.

Sorry for the slight topic bump, but I still want King K Rool. He's got the costumes, he's got the wide array of attacks and abilities to use, he's got the potential taunts, the home stage and music... he's pretty much perfect for a Smash Bros character, isn't he?
06-05-2015, 06:00 PM
Seeing how Konami is now pretty much dead in the game-making, I want Goemon.

Just some notes I've been jotting down on what kind of a roster I'd make. I cut a few and added more. Also changes I'd might make to characters.
Mr. Game & Watch
No changes.
Mario
Mario's Forward Air attack now has a flame effect on his fist. Down Special is back to being the Mario Tornado.
Luigi
Fireball moves slightly faster.
Peach
Vegetables are thrown a lot farther and faster. Toad is replaced with Toadsworth.
Bowser
Uses his voice from the games.
Toad
Special: Pickaxe
Up Special: Propeller Block
Down Special: Vegetable
Forward Special: Kart
Toad is extremely speedy and surprisingly strong for his size. Despite being very light, Toad has a poor jump height. He has an arsenal of close range and long range weaponry to help him. Toad can hop of his Kart for recovery.
Donkey Kong
Uses voice from the games.
Diddy Kong
Uses voice from the games.
Dixie Kong
Special: Gumball Popgun
Up Special: Ponytail Twirl
Down Special: Mini-Monkey
Forward Special: Monkey Flip
Dixie Kong is very light and floaty. She mainly attacks by whipping around her ponytail but also attacks with kicks. Dixie also grabs opponents with her ponytail and has powerful throws. She learned her Down Special from Tiny Kong. Mini-Monkey allows her to shrink in size but her attack power remains the same while her speed and jump height increase.
King K. Rool
Special: Crown Toss
Up Special: Kopter Rise
Down Special: Krusha Slam
Forward Special: Blunderbuss
K. Rool has surprisingly fast and quirky movements despite his size and weight. He's one of the heaviest characters and still very agile. However a lot of his moves leave him open and vulnerable. His odd movements can trip people up and make him unpredictable.
Little Mac
Better recovery and aerial movement. KO Punch is gone.
R.O.B.
His Side Special is less powerful than it was in SSB4.
Takamaru
Special: Shuriken
Up Special: Vanish Scroll
Down Special: Fireball
Forward Special: Windmill Sword
Takamaru has incredible range with a variety of projectiles. His movement and moves are very fast but not very strong. Warp around people with the Vanish Scroll and attack them rapidly with Shurikens.

Zelda
Updated design.
Sheik
Updated design.
Ganondorf
Updated design. Revamped moveset that involves a sword. His normal special shoots a ball of magic that stuns like Zero Suit Samus (angles downward from the air). Forward special is a shadowy backhand swipe that reflects projectiles. Up special is a dark teleport that damages on the way back. Down special he leaps up and slams down with his sword making a dark burst when landing (just slams down when done in the air) when it lands it forces nearby fighters away.
Toon Link
Revamped specials. Normal special is now Fire Arrows. Forward special in now Skull Hammer. Up special is now Deku Leaf. Down special is now Bombchu.
Samus
Bombs drop faster and explode on impact.
Zero Suit Samus
No changes.
Ridley
Special: Fireball Breath
Up Special: Soaring Grab
Down Special: Tail Grind
Forward Special: Gust Flap

Pit
Hammer Arm no longer reflects projectiles.
Palutena
No changes.
Ness
PK Flash faster but is slightly weaker. A self inflicted PK Thunder now automatically blasts Ness to the ledge of the stage no matter what angle Ness was hit.

Andy
Special: Cannnon
Up Special: Eject
Down Special: Infantry
Forward Special:Rocket Launcher

Mewtwo
No changes.
Lucario
No changes.
Ray MK
Special: Gun
Up Special: Air Dash
Down Special: Pod
Forward Special: Bomb
Ray MK is one of the smallest fighters in the game (only a little bigger than Olimar) but also one of the lightest. Being a ranged projectile fighter while being very small makes him a bit annoying to fight. However his moves are rather weak and he can be KO'd easily.
Villager
No changes.
Isaac
Special: Gaia
Up Special: Retreat
Down Special: Quake
Forward Special: Move
Isaac is a slow and heavy character who despite having a sword mostly uses psynergy to attack. His smash attacks cause plants to grow and stab or whip foes. He's got great range and power to make up for his poor speed and jumping abilities.
Olimar
No changes.
Starfy
Special: Star Spin
Up Special: Spin Jump
Down Special: Shooting Star
Forward Special: Mighty Star Spin
A lot of his moves send him shooting across the screen, but never fear as he has incredible jumping abilities and can hover around. His Star Spin reflects projectiles and his Mighty Star Spin gives him super armor.
Chibi-Robo
Special: Zip-Lash
Up Special: Chibi-Copter
Down Special: Recharge
Forward Special: Chibi-Blaster
Chibi-Robo is a very small light character with a lot of power. However that power drains over time and needs to be recharged with his down special. While the other tiny robot, Ray MK, has mostly projectiles, Chibi-Robo uses a lot of gizmos and gadgets that vary in power depending on how many Watts he has left.
Barbara
Special: Power Chord
Up Special: Drum Bounce
Down Special: Amp
Forward Special: Tambourine
All of Barbara's moves involve using musical instruments and she's brought a ton! She can drop an Amp on the stage that can shoot soundwaves or toss a tambourine like a disc. A lot of her standard moves rely on using her guitar like a bat or ax.
Wii Fit Trainer
No changes.
Inkling
Special: Splat Charger
Up Special: Super Jump
Down Special: Ink Dive
Forward Special: Splat Roller
Inkling can make a colorful mess all over the stage. Her moves don't do much in terms of damage but can slow down opponents and make jumping very difficult. Covering the stage in ink will make people slip and slide.

I've been thinking about Tails and what his moves can be. He did have games of his own, like Tails Sky Patrol and Tails' Adventure. The moment I thought of these games, I keep imagining Tails using a "Grappling Ring" for his grabs and throws based on Sky Patrol. Also, his Remote Robot has to be there. The rest can be taken from the main games and Sonic Battle, like with Sonic.
06-06-2015, 07:38 PM
His Up-Smash has to be the boxing glove on a spring from Sonic Battle.
06-06-2015, 07:50 PM
The ones I voted for on the Smash Ballot were Paper Mario, Fawful, Waluigi, and Dimentio. Of those, Paper Mario is the only one with a decent shot, but I couldn't resist voting for my two favorite Mario characters and Waluigi who should not have been an Assist trophy twice in a row. I think I may have also thrown Antasma a vote since he had so much potential in Dream Team and was just wasted so Bowser could be the final boss again.

Eh, recovering in the newer titles requires so little effort I see no need for that really. Unless you mean hitting people, but Mario has plenty of better options. I find both his new FLUDD and DAir actually pretty good.

Fireball moves slightly faster.
luigi is like, the 3rd best in the game. dont see why he should be stronger
Peach
Vegetables are thrown a lot farther and faster.
if anything, they should be pulled out a lot quicker than the throwing speed. the slow speed is great for edge guarding and gimping.
Little Mac
Better recovery and aerial movement. KO Punch is gone.
um, the whole point of the character is so that its garbage with air-related moves. if you give him better aerial movement and a better recovery, he's basically unstoppable.
Ganondorf
Revamped moveset that involves a sword.
i thought that smash bros had enough swordfighters. idk why more should be added...
Toon Link
Revamped specials. Normal special is now Fire Arrows. Forward special in now Skull Hammer. Up special is now Deku Leaf. Down special is now Bombchu.
i could see the bombchu's working like villagers lloyd rocket. the deku leaf can also work like g&w's up special, so those are all good!
Marth
No changes.
how about a major buff? marth sucks, compared to melee and (somewhat) brawl. give him more range and make his attacks swing faster and smooth, like melee marth.
Captain Falcon
No changes.
give the knee sweetspot a bigger hitbox? idk, it's easier to hit in pm than in brawl/ssb4. maybe up air can give more of the circle-shape hitbox so that it hits from behind.
Kirby
No changes.
decrease startup lag with all aerial moves, perhaps? less lag on rock? making his hammer usable when you dont charge it (like brawl, for example)?
Fox
No changes.
bring back 20xx pls samurai thnx
in all honesty, they should bring back the jump out of shine and the short hop blaster techniques. they arent all that hard to master, so it should be added to make fox a better character.
Falco
Fire Falco now has blue flames.
give him better aerials. the only good one is back air atm. increase his ground speed or something. his shine from fox should also be put back in.
also, add the techniques i've mentioned to fox.
Pikachu
No changes.
give pikachu a good back air and im pleased with the character. :>
Charizard
Charizard is floatier in the air. Side Special is now Dragon Rush (formerly an alternate move).
maybe make charizard have at least 2 more jumps and a defined character type. this dude has no clear objective, thus making him one of the worst characters in the game...
Jigglypuff
Super Shield when using Sing in the air. Rest has slightly larger hitbox when Jigglypuff's damage is high.
jigglypuff wont even survive past 70-90%, so the whole "larger hitbox" thing is pretty much useless.
Mewtwo
No changes.
MAKE DOWN THROW COMBO INTO SOMETHING. ANYTHING.
and maybe make down smash hit both sides, but hey, thats just me.
Olimar
No changes.
give this guy some more pikmin or something. not quantity, but different types of pikmin, like rock and winged pikmin. then again, with that much variety, 4 pikmin should at least be his max.
Wii Fit Trainer
No changes.
more range? make the soccer ball stronger? idk about wii fit trainer, so idk what she/he needs.
Mii
No changes.
add more mii types? how about buffing the hell out of mii swordsman, because he isnt that great of a character.
06-06-2015, 10:23 PM
100% Agree with that whole list. Especially our poor Hero King.
I'll add my two cents and say WFT needs hitboxes. I think they may have accidentally put beta WFT into this game

If anything, I'd say work with his Falcondorf moveset as a base, but make mostly cosmetic changes to his moveset, including some with his sword (replacing his Warlock Punch with a functionally similar sword swing/thrust was a neat touch in Project M and Sm4sh). For example, his D-air could be a slow downwards sword thrust that still behaves the same as his stomp.
