Splatoon looks very Saturday morning cartoon with light anime influence. I could imagine bloodstained bein in that shounen jump manga magazine I used to get back in middle/high school

Translate it to 2d drawings and it certainly does.
"Shonen" isn't a synonym for "Looks really anime", it's a particular genre (which Splatoon fits into)

Anyway Splatoon isn't even a part of this it's not a Kickstarter!
