Or it would just need a simple program to assemble the frame sequences directly from game structures, which use a very simple format by the way.

Technical question, does anybody know if I can get the colour palettes for Dawn of Sorrow via the saves states in the same way as Order of Ecclesia? Seems that way would be a lot easier than sorting through 300+ palettes multiple times for each tileset.

The address for the palettes in a savestate is 1017752 (with a count of 8192) sure that is a lot of palettes to cycle through but it'll contain every that would be loaded in at the time (whatever Soma has equipped at the time, specific enemies, etc.) although if you plan on doing something likes bosses, it's either during the fight or through boss rush, their data doesn't stay in memory. You'll still be looking through hundreds of palettes but when you go through enough savestates, you'll be able to determine where you'll need is.

I think it's off and on. Sometimes people rip, sometimes they don't. It all depends on what they feel like doing at the moment.
There:
Ruler Sword from Portait of Ruin and Ecclesia. Should be complete, unless I did some error with the spear palette, but it should be accurate.
And there goes the Une Man (please don't call it Chosen Une, it's seriously a lame joke) from Ecclesia:
I don't remeber a spear with the Spectral Sword in OoE.
^Any tileset used in Ecclesia that was also used in Portrait will contain things that aren't used in Ecclesia, like the Black Crow I ripped which has sprites (used in Forest of Doom or Dark Academy, forget which is the first one) that weren't used in Ecclesia.
That's because most sprites come from SOTN's database, where some of those frames were actually used. As for the Ruler Sword, it has a couple palettes that aren't used even in SOTN, even tho they are still present in Ecclesia. Seems to me like they didn't even bother to remove 10 year old dummies (maybe they planned to use them in the future and hadn't a chance yet?).
Well, I'd have to agree as I have run across several enemies and things in the data that come from Symphony onward that weren't used in the end.
A sprite of both Soma Cruz and Jonathon Morris still exist in the game's data somewhere for example (I know Jonathon's is mixed in with Shanoa's sprites).

Here comes the Owl Knight. As usual for sprites from SOTN, contains "dummy" palettes, one about the Owl monster (which I believe is a single entity with the knight) and the other probably unused (seems to be related to the sword, it's the 3rd in the image).
PS: Smithy, you forgot to add my Ruler Sword to both Ecclesia and PoR.

Final Knight (I know the big assembled sprite's colors are off, but that part is not used by the game, so who cares).
Ripping through the sprite assembler is so much better. T_T Need to add support to type 2 entities and monsters with missing sections (bosses seem to be somewhat broken in the encoding).
