What the thread title says. I would really like to know how 3DS model ripping changes depending on the game where the models are to be ripped.
I'm mainly asking this because it irks me that Super Smash Bros for 3DS has model rips, while an older 3DS game like Bravely Default has absolutely nothing at all.
Would really like to know. Thanks in advance!
It can vary from being exactly the same, to being 100% different. It's similar to every other console ever.
Hmm...so, aren't there even any references as to how things are encrypted or seomthing?
I noticed that not only Bravely Default is missing, but actually absolutely every 3DS game released by Square Enix (including Bravely, but also the Final Fantasy ports). Is the encryption there really that complicated? Or are you guys just worried that Square Enix may take down the whole website if you do host model rips of any 3DS game made by Square Enix?
It appears to be that a good amount of people aren't interested in submitting models to the site. Model rip packs and/or ripping tools get released on various forums, but a lot of it doesn't end up on the site.
Man, that's really sad.
It only gets more sad when seeing the model rips of Smash Bros Wii U.
All non-DLC character models were already ripped, but only a very small selection was actually submitted to Model's Resource, with the majority being BrawlVault-exclusives.
The fact that Brawl model ripping is giving me constant problems doesn't make things any better (one model is glitchy in BRRES Viewer, and another one just simply crashes BRRES Viewer), but alas, that's part of a different thread of mine.
