Did you by chance draw any inspiration from Heat Man's Battle Network design?

partially! That old set was an interpretation of how the bosses are portrayed in The Megas vocal remixes of 2's ost. Airman was described as being built of SR 71s and WW2 era planes, Woodman being described as a mixture of nature itself and old war machines, and Heatman as a sort of demon(or he  believes himself to be) that resides in a robot hell, where he constantly hears the cries of everything he's burned and heatman exe's goofy jack o lantern like face was perfect to give him a fiery monster like look. And bubbleman was described as being the weakest and most ridiculous of the 8 so i made him small and shrimpy in stature.

I really am enjoying these. I can't think of any criticism at this time though. Sick
i do though and my criticism is that Wood Man is off balance. It's more apparent when you flip it

Also, being a wooden themed robot, that smooth curve to his head looks weird, but it could be the robot design anyways

Here's a crude splice to show what I mean - I personally think that making it more 'sculped' would improve his wooden design, but it's ultimately your choice. really good sprite nonetheless

Edit: Sorry, I was gonna post something but got sidetracked with woodman. [Image: iAidBFC.png] I wanted to touch this up, and really overhaul the jets, do you guys know of any good references for that sort of thing? moving fire has never been my strong suit.

[Image: qQNiw.png] oh boy does that suggestion take me back a few years... To be honest, I had considered it, but I feel it doesn't quite fit aesthetically.

Somewhat dark, I imagine her level would be themed around fantasy dungeons, but the background wouldn't be inky nes blackness
